購入から5年目になるノートパソコンの起動が遅く感じるようになったので、SSDと交換しました。1TBのHDDから500GBのSSDにコピーしようと試みましたが、ダメでした。その後、1万円くらいのSSDを探したところ、エイサーが見つかり購入。
耐久性は分かりません。2時間ほどかけてクローンを作成して起動、問題なく動きます。もちろん、起動は速くなりました。
C.T.U Agent –
ほぼテレビ用でしか使いみちがなかった2011年製のNEC VN770／Dに入れ替える目的で購入。
5,400回転のHDDで、ブラウザが使えるまでに5分程度かかっていましたが、ちょうど1分で使えるようになりました。
ちなみにOSをアップグレードするとテレビ機能が使えなくなるので、Macrium Reflect8とゆーフリーソフトを利用してクローン移植しました。
この際、玄人志向のお立ち台を介してUSB接続したところ、初期化済みで即認識しました。
もっとも、PC側はUSB2.0 に繋いでしまったせいか、クローン完了までに3時間かかりました。
期待どおりの成果は得られましたが、SSDの性能ということになると？がついてしまいそうです。
「Acer」のブランドと価格に安さに飛びつきましたが、速度測定値は画像のとおりのとんでもない結果です。
なお、アラインメントを確認しましたがズレはありません。
SATA600規格のPC自体がAHCIモードをなぜかサポートしていませんが、仮に切り替えられても数％の向上にとどまるはずです。

Stunning performance vs the HDD.
It took me 15 mins to install in my laptop – start to finish.
And then the windows clean install took another 30 mins. Post that – Lightening fast startup and performance.
Its unbelievable how such a simple swap from HDD to SSD can increase the laptop performance exponentially.

Very Good Move by me to replace 1Tb HDD to 256Gb ACER SSD-As i am rely on ACER brand since last 12 years my all 3 purchased Laptops are same Brands. I changed DVD Bay with Caddy (1 Tb Original HDD kept in Caddy) & attached Acer’s SSD with Mother board. Reinstalled All FULL OS & programmes including 3 years Kaspersky Total Security Software again by taking so much Pain but after that Laptop which is 6 years OLD running very smoothly.. Worth to buy & Install SSD in Old laptops..
