Wanted to get the AKG K371 wired ones and these were the only ones available on amazon or on other places with only 1 seller selling them- KANNAN INDIA PVT LTD. However when I received my order I got their bluetooth version instead which has inferior sound quality. You can see in the last image how it is incorrectly labeled.
I even contacted seller beforehand and they assured me that everything was okay. All they had to do was name the product correctly. Immediately requested for refund.
The left earcup is loose too which pained my ear within 10 minutes of using them so not only did I receive the wrong item but a defective one too

Forget ATH M50. Get these instead.

Sounds phenomenal, fits perfectly.
I received 2 pairs of the k371 today, and both are in pristine conditions with no issues faced. I read many reviews stating that the qc was poor, however I didn’t face such an issue.
Moreover rs6000 is an absolute STEAL deal for these headphones!

I’m just getting into over the ear headphones, but have a good idea on what good sound is. I’m overall very satisfied with the buy read along to know why. I’m a big sucker for Harman tuning and the tonality it provides hence this headphone has been on my radar for a while.
Sound signature: Theres tones of reviews talking bout these but here’s my two cents. This closely follows the Harman curve with subtle differences I notice. The sub bass bump other people perceive at 30hz for me was at 50-60 hz. The mid was flat as a pancake with lower mid boost of around 2db 300-500hz which gives it some warmth not muddy as some people say. Treble was where I was a little disappointed, The overall nature is alright but I am extremely sensitive at 8khz (most people are) and most songs play into it giving it a bit of harshness Turn it down with an eq(2-4 dB depending on how it feels) to enjoy a more balanced sound. there is a big dip at 4hz probably around 5ish dB hence I could never see any studio professional using it.
Build and comfort : not much complains here the headband is plastic but wrapped with a soft touch material there is this weird silicon balloon instead of foam at headband which is comfortable enough. The earpads are large and comfortable I have very large protruding ears which have no problem at all. The provided cables are not particularly premium but gets the job done. The connection to the headphone is provided by the tried and tested locking mini XLR port should last you well. My biggest worry here is the rotating earcups that pivot point seems to wobble quite a bit and I can see it loosening or even breaking over time
Use cases:
casual listening: Not a very fatiguing sound and great comfort. Do note for travel, these are bulky and heavy and don’t isolate quite as well but it does fold up nice and small
Studio Use: Since the mid is flat and overall it has nice tonality and can be used for monitoring vocals or feedback to the singers. Not recommended for mixing (should be alright for small independent producers) you should be mixing with monitors anyway.

The item i have reviewed is in this condition out of the box. The manufacturer date is 2020 its been 3 years since it is sitting like that

These are simply phenomenal. They have a flat sound signature, flatter than ATH-M50X. This will make you hear the true neutral sound of your mix. Since I’ve started using these, my music production quality has gone up several notches. These are simply the best buy at this price point. I got mine for 6k, which is a total steal!
They are ultra-comfortable. I’ve had no issues wearing them for long durations. The cushions are so soft and feels very very premium.
Overall build quality also feels very premium.
Sound isolation is not the best.
They come with THREE cables out of the box! That’s right, three! There’s a huge coil cable which you can use for tangle-free experience
Overall: 9.5/10

I have had these for a couple of days now. Before buying I read numerous user reviews saying that these headphones have wonderfully clear neutral sound and they are correct. I’ll willingly join the chorus. To my ears they sound wonderful with clear neutral sound with nice extension into sub-bass frequencies. Build quality is satisfyingly solid and they are very comfy to wear … BUT this great sound is ruined by the unacceptably intrusive microphonic noise that is generated whenever the cable moves.
If I even slightly move my head while wearing the headphones, the cable will of course move and rub against my clothing, and the friction from that rubbing is noisily transmitted into the headphones. Until I did some post-purchase googling this morning I didn’t know the word “microphonics”. I wish I’d known it a week ago. I’m now finding it in many K361 & K371 reviews (as they share the same cables and connection design).
It is so disappointing because these K371 are the best sounding headphones I have ever owned, and having DJ’d since the 90s I’ve quite owned a few pairs of quality cans over the years (e.g. HD-25, DJ-1200) and never experienced such intrusive microphonics. I’m astounded that AKG thought this was acceptable product quality and I will be very cautious in future about buying AKG headphones again (or any other headphone which hasn’t effectively isolated the cable from the ear-housing).

Worst product and 2020 manufacturing date dont buy it

Really good cheap closed back headphones for mixing. The bass is a tad bit too prominent..and the air found in the 10k-20k region is a little bit silent. Sounds neutral otherwise. Easily beats the m30x m40x m50x models by ATH.

AKG/Harman outdid themselves on this one. It has incredible comfort and truly outstanding sound for the price. I needed no EQ adjustments at all. This is a benchmark for under 15k Closed back headphones. The mids are a bit sharp but I wouldn’t complain much.
The problem is the terrible quality control. I know others who have purchased this product here have no issues with the build quality, but I was unlucky twice. My second replacement pickup was scheduled on the day of first lockdown. I had wait almost two months to get my refund. The problem is the headband connection mechanism with the yoke. It was loose in both the headphones I received.
I really like the sound signature of this headphone but I don’t want to risk getting a faulty product a third time. For those who don’t have issues with the build find yourselves lucky because there definitely is a QC issue.
