Peter Novotnak –
After some research, I believe this is one of the best name-brand chargers on the market at the time of writing.
It has wide fast charging compatability, including support for super fast charging for Samsung phones (~1h from empty to full). It will also do 60 watts with my 14″ MacBook with nothing else plugged in, 45 watts otherwise.
I have not observed overheating as noted in the German review, though I have not extensively tested this with a usb-c meter. However, this seems to run surprisingly cool while super fast charging an S22+ at various SoC while running a dashcam (though the dashcam is admittedly probably only pulling 2-5w). If you are running this with the vehicle (and this climate controls off) in hotter climatesyou might see throttling much faster than you would otherwise. The fact that this will throttle rather than catch on fire is in itself a great selling point and a reason to buy name brand.
Finally, the light is not obnoxiously bright, while still being bright enough to clearly indicate status in daylight.
A note on wattage: Sure, you can probably get something that advertises 160w, 200w or even more. These will not be name brand. The fuse that runs the socket is commonly only 10 amps, meaning 120w is all it can support without blowing the fuse or making the wiring hot. But the cigarette adapter socket is a terrible connector, and even at 5A the contacts will start to heat up noticeably. Personally I would not attempt to go past 8A (~100 watts) on a regular basis, especially with the electronics in the same housing. That’s a recipe for a very short life and some melted plastic.
All in all this is an excellent charger.

Chargers my phone faster. All Anker products work perfectly. Recommend 😊

Klare Empfehlung.

I have multiple Anker car chargers and this one is the best one so far. It’s smaller than all the other ones and provides more power. I am able to charge my iPhone and Lenovo C940 with no issues. It fits snugly in my Kia Tellurides 12v socket and doesn’t wiggle around. Although sometimes if you pull too hard on the cable it will come out, but I don’t think there is anything you can do about that. It is a little pricey, but the quality seems good so I’m ok with it. I know you can get other more powerful chargers for less money, but I trust the Anker brand when it comes to charging my expensive devices.

I was having trouble keeping my Samsung Galaxy S10 phone charged. The USB port in my car couldn’t support the bigger phones. Even my older car adapter couldn’t do it. I got one of these and it works like magic. I bought a second for our other car.
