Yo compre este router como repetidor, para que llegara correctamente el wifi a mi habitación. Otros router que había comprado no daban la velocidad necesaria acorde a mi conexión a internet (600 Mbps), pero este los da perfectamente bien.

I needed to add the RT-AX-1800S as a AIMESH node for my 6 year old RT-AC-88U router. First, I turned off my RT- AC-88U then disconnected the RJ45 connector coming from the modem and connected it to the RT-AX-1800S WAN port. Then disconnected the RJ45 connector coming from the computer and connected to one of the RT-AX-1800S LAN port. Next I booted up my computer and the RT-AX-1800S.
Once both were sufficiently booted up I opened my web browser and went to ROUTER.ASUS.COM, selected automatic IP, then completed the rest of modem setup. Once the previous steps are completed a message appeared asking me to upgrade the firmware. Once that was done I pressed and held the reset button on the RT-AX-1800S router to reset it it, then I shut it down once the reset was completed.
I removed the RJ45 connectors and reconnected them back on my RT- AC-88U. I turned the RT-AX-1800S on and sat it next to my RT- AC-88U. Turned my computer on and and logged in to my router’s management page. Clicked on AIMESH tab and clicked on add a node. It took a good 15 minutes for the node to be fully established but it worked perfectly! I moved the RT-AX-1800S to the area where I had a bad dead spot and I was done.
I now have no dead spots all over the house, and I have a pretty large house. The RT-AX-1800S is working really well as a AIMESH node. I highly recommend using this router especially as a node to your main router to expand your signal strength throughout your home.
