TL:DR: Great motherboard for an enthusiast or for a mid-range gaming rig.
I usually stick to ASUS or Gigabyte for my motherboards. I bought this motherboard over the cheaper B660 motherboards for three reasons:
* better capacitors
* better & more heatsinks
* Wifi 6 & bluetooth antenna
Pros:
* Lots of high speed USB ports. It also has a USB C port, although it’s not Thunderbolt (the motherboard has a Thunderbolt header in case you want to add an aftermarket Thunderbolt port).
* Lots of heatsinks (pair with a well-ventilated case to keep your PC happy).
* The Wifi 6 adapter works very well with my Asus Wifi 6 router. At times, it even connects using the 160MHz channel width. This is great for people like me who aren’t able to run a LAN cable from their router to their PC.
* The antenna also gives you Bluetooth. Asus has promised Bluetooth LE Audio support in the future (this is different from Bluetooth LE). I’ll update this review if that happens.
* Not sure if the NVME SSD slot needed a heatsink, but I’m happy to have it.
* The BIOS has a LOT of features for overclockers. You can spend hours tinkering and fine-tuning settings.
Minor cons:
* The cable for the wifi/bluetooth antenna is extremely thin. I’m scared of accidentally tearing/damaging it.
* The base for the wifi antenna is not weighted. I’ll mostly end up using double-sided tape.
* The onboard Realtek audio is mediocre. I guess that’s true for almost all onboard audio. I have a dedicated PCIe sound card, so I left the onboard audio disabled.
* Windows 11 doesn’t automatically pick up all the hardware drivers. You can download the rest from the Asus support page. AVOID the Armoury Crate software at all costs, unless you need it for RGB or some such. It installs too much junk and leaves a lot of junk behind even after uninstall.
Other points:
* If you’re using an aftermarket air cooler, ensure that it has enough clearance. The CPU is boxed in by heatsinks on two sides and RAM on the third side.
ANIRBAN DAS –
This motherboard has amazing vrm thermal performance which is necessary if you’re going with any high end processor. Using it with an i7 12700f, Rtx 3060ti and 16gb 4000mhz ram. Everything runs amazing and stable.

It’s a budget all rounder. U can upgrade to 13th gen also. And u can add upto 56mhz ram. It’s a good thing and also pcie 5.0 support makes it a future proof choice.
