hey guyz .
I bought this phone before 1 month.
the phone is working perfect .
1. Back Camera is very good. however flash is missing. Front is ok not too great. the best thing about the camera is auto focus. Camera is heavily customised. front camera also has face detection sensor which generally not fount in this price segment.
2.display is good. however viewing angles are too great but satisfactory.
display is bright enough . you cant feel any problem even in sunlight.
3.sim card are working good, network strenght is also good.but one thing that i felt is bad we can not connect manually to 3G network . Hope ASUS will do something in KItkat update.
Performance of the cpu is quite impressive. Antutu benchmark is over 18000 which is realy surprising in this range. heads off to Intel.
4.speaker Sound is very clear however too low . we can not hear anything in noisy environment . sound in headphone is very impressive . however u cant get any of the earphone within the box . you have to sort out some extra bucks for this.
5.The design of the phone is very good. good thing is capactive buttons are out of screen but bad thing is they are not BACKLED.back cover is good ,it has rubberised coating . feels very good in hand .power button and volume rockers are made of cheap plastic with metal finishing.
6.Gorrila glass looks good . it would get any of scratches hardly.
7.lets talk about software .
phone is operating on Android 4.3 jellybean OS .User interface is heavily customised by Asus by ZEN UI which is running makkhan malai on this phone .ZEN UI looks quite different .i thing Asus has done hard work on getting what people want.
8. Call quality is pretty awesome and crystal clear.
9. Battery : one of the major problem with the phone is its battery.
battery is of 1600 mAH which is not too bad .
normally phone works for 4 to 5 hour in continuous usage of wifi and web browsing.
but guyz today em gonna tell you how u can increase the battery life .
first location services and auto syncing should be off.
second smart saving function should be on in ultra saving mode .
third u cant find in the phone . but i m telling how you do find in the phone .
Go to setting>About>software information >build number.
click on build number 5 times continously . now it will tell you that now you are a Developer.
now open setting again and u will find the option of \

i preordered it for white color and got in just two days on 3rd sept.
even after buying there was preorder option and now its out of order.
phone is quite nice if you don’t have high expectation like on redmi 1s.
the zen ui is superb and after buying this phone i came to know that asus zenfone design got reddot award of 2014 for best design. and i must say the design is really worth for winning award.
it is way better than zenfone 4 and comes nearer to zenfone 5.
pros of this phone for such a price:
flash, superb gaming support(supports all the heavy games like riptide gp2,asphalt 8 with full graphics rendering)
camera is better than moto g and it has so many amazing options on capturing photos.customized UI called zen UI makes the phone look very much like a premium phones costing probably around 20000 and more.,touch response is very fluid and smooth and it feels great on fingers like a feather touch, back cover is nice and gives a great look,
other specialty is as given in the specification.
cons:
battery is not great which seems as same as in zenfone 4 & 5.but not really bad for a moderate user .doesnt have glove touch as zenfone 5 has.
it heats up quite a bit if u continue to play games for more than 10min which most phone does.it doesnt support otg cable as it was in zenfone 4 out of the box until asus provided the ota update.hope they will provide otg support update soon after many user will buy this phone
the phone have less cons than pros. it is a great device for a student as it has so many features which are quite helpful for a student.
one more cons is that it doesnt provide headset out of the box .and screen guard and case cover is not out yet and looks like we have wait sometime for the accessories.
Edited: got the update zenfone firmware Version WW V4.2.3 and now it supports otg cable.can play videos and movies directly from pendrive without copying in the phone memory or sdcard.

I am in Mobile s/w dev profession last 11 years. I have seen very basic mobile to very high end mobiles. My requirement was very clear:
Why did I choose this phone:
1. I need a phone , not to show off.
2. I need a phone which assist me with basic apps + Android apps.
3. I need big screen.
4. I need good speaker quality as I use IHF 90% of time.
5. I need simple moderate camera. As for photo already have high end camera.
What I like:
1. Wonderful touch screen and feel.
2. Spender look and finish of phone.
3. ASUS customize GUI similar to Apple. (Very easy to use)
4. Fantastic Audio (Speaker)
5. Very good response (Facebook, YouTube..etc)
6. Smart Keyboard (better than Moto G).
What I did NOT like:
1. Battery drawn very fast.
2. Smooth back cover, might slip from hand. AND
3. Not getting cover in Flipkart and in market.

I don’t know how but got this phone suddenly at night when I was checking, it was available. As soon as I saw, clicked the buy now button, immidiately bought. After buying, what I saw is that it was again ‘coming soon’ I wondered what the hell is going on. I checked my orders and got to know that my order is confirmed (maybe by mistake) but luckily I got this phone on Oct 6. Delivered in 2 days in perfect packaging. Pearl White color looks so striking. Now my review after using the phone is as follows:
First about the build quality- This phone is amazingly crafted. It’s a beauty, does not feel at all like a 7k phone. build quality is premium. back panel in white color does not attract any finger prints. It has matte finish. Again the phone is very light in weight and very slim does not feel bulky at all. Perfectly fits in hands and in pocket. Design is very sleek & better than Moto E (very bulky) and Redmi 1s (cheap quality).
Display- This phone comes with a corning gorilla glass 3 protection; you might not get it on any phone in this range. It resists scratches and fingerprints. But the display quality is average. 480X800 resolution seems to be pixelated. It has 240ppi density but my grand with 187ppi density seems better than this one. Colors seems faded away, poor color reproduction. And also screen is so reflective. It also does not have light sensor that means you have to manually change brightness everytime according to the environment. a qHD display might have been done well. I am not satisfied with display as compared to Moto E and Redmi 1s. Display touch screen responsiveness is very good with soft touch and asus glove technology, you can also use the phone with wearing gloves.
Performance- This phone works like a charm, shows the power of intel. It has 1.2ghz Intel Atom z2520 dual core processor which actually has 4 CPU’s due to the hyper threading technology(as I checked in CPU-Z) hence it works as a quad core processor. It does not lags at all with a very smooth performance. The combo of this amazing processor and 1GB Ram makes it a powerhouse under 7k. Not even a single lag or hang problem in regular use. I played many casual games like temple run and subway surfers and heavy games like asphalt 8 and real racing 3, it runs them smoothly without a single lag. Yes it heats a lot while playing heavy games(but not more than Redmi 1s) as battery is non removable but for regular use it is fine. 4.5GB is available memory and also has SD card slot. Android 4.4 kitkat comes pre installed only in this zenfone (not zenfone 4,5 and 6).
Camera- The 8 MP camera is a decent one. As it comes with the pixelmaster technology by asus, the low light shots are just striking. Flash is also powerful. Picture quality is a lot better than Moto E and Redmi 1s. zoom is average. Front camera is miserable, very low quality just 0.3 MP not recommended for selfies. disappointed with front camera.
Multimedia- This phone can play full HD videos but as I mentioned earlier that display feels pixelated, hence video watching is not a great joy on this phone but normal. Audio clearity from loudspeaker is good but volume is not that loud, lower than other phones. But headset sound quality is very good (tested with Creative EP630; you dont get headset with this phone).
Call Quality- The call quality of this phone is average. Volume is high but the quality of volume is strictly average, feels like the voice is cracking. But cannot demand much for this price.
Battery- The big issue of all android phones is battery. The battery life of this phone is average. with light use it can go a whole day.But charging is very fast (0-100 in 1 hr 20m) For me, with wifi on, music playback of around an hour on speaker, a little bit gaming, 2 hours of web browsing and etc, the battery lasted for a day. Gaming and audio on speaker discharges battery very quickly on this. You might have to charge it in the evening. It is better to carry a small power bank for this phone as battery is just 1750Mah.
Overall- This phone is truly a vfm because asus is a very good brand and it is best buy for 7K (if you dont trust Xiaomi). Dont know why is flipkart not showing it even when the stock is available. Between Moto E and asus zenfone 4 400cg, Moto E is better, but Zenfone 4.5 is better than Moto E, Zenfone 4 and Redmi 1s in terms of camera , performance, design and looks. But 1 negative for the display.

It’s good to own a Hayabusa.
It’s not SO good to ride it in city traffic.
Where the RD-350s can keep up with you.
What if the the RD were sold at the price of a RX-100 ?
That describes my journey from FlagShip Phones to Asus Zenfone 4
Everything I need to do in real life, it can do.
From fringe-area-calls thru navigation to heavy gaming.

After using the phone for about a week all i can say about this asus zenfone 4 A450CG is that it’s simply AWESOME’
Key Points:
Asphalt 8 on high settings runs as smooth as butter and i mean it(just make sure to clear out your ram before stating the game) and same goes for modern combat 5 too.
Performance wise it’s on par with nexus 5 i would say based on my experience with both nexus 5 and asus zenfone 4.5.
It comes with usable storage of 4.5 gb out of 8 gb
It supports otg natively
Gets 500-550 mb of free ram unlike redmi 1S which has only 200-300mb free ram
Camera performance is ok but lags a little bit on HDR mode
None major severe heating issues.
The only major con i could find was the severe battery draining issue. After 20-25 mins of asphalt 8,watching 3-4 youtube videos, browsing web for 15-20 mins, using apps like facebook, flipboard, appygeek and on single sim. This device lasts for only 4 hrs approx which is horrible i think, but i can live with that. So,gotta charge twice a day if on heavy usage.

I’m stepping down after using a Galaxy Note 3 (which I lost, hence this phone in the interim),but I will to try to be as objective about the Zenfone 4 as possible.
1. Unboxing: The phone came in a stylish little box which slides out instead of flipping open. Contents include the handset, battery, 2-pin USB wall adapter and a data-cum-charging cable. Earphones have been omitted as an obvious cost cutting measure. The device has a sturdy look to it,though very plain. The concentric circle design at the bottom saves some grace though (reminded me fondly of my old Moto Razr V3i).
Opening the cover was difficult (requires a firm pull) but it never felt like it would crack. The battery slid in smoothly. Inserting the micro-sim and \
