So much for brother brand ink – within 100 pages this cartridge was used up.
Brother claims that if you use non-brother ink your machine will get damaged. Since I print quite a bit its too expensive to use brother brand – I figured I’d use real brother ink every once in a while (I also run the cleaning setting every couple of weeks).
I actually ordered this cartridge when my printer showed that the (non-brother) blue ink was down to 1/4 and with that ink, it still lasted 3 weeks (that was 400-500 pags at 1/4). When it finally ran out I replaced it with the Brother brand cartridge, printed maybe 50 pages before the color printing failed. I ran the cleaning setting a couple of times printed maybe another 50 and the blue Brother ink was completely gone.
Going back to non-brother brand – way better deal & my printer is doing fine (and has been for the 3 years I’ve been using mainly non-brother ink)

The wife prints a lot and they work Real good and last a lot longer the any one we had. two thumbs up

bought this because my printer jammed and the magenta cartridge leaked out on the offending jam. installed this and had to clean printer 4 times, then the new cartridge was empty. the new cartridge only lasted through 4 cleanings. I ended up purchasing the whole 3 color xl cartridges. would definitely not but again. the retailer was fine. no problems there. the product itself was very disappointing.
