The pressure cooker which was purchased barely eight months ago burst today morning. Instead of the safety valve blowing, the entire cooker exploded and the person standing nearby in the kitchen was very fortunate to escape with minor burns. The whole episode could have had a very serious outcome. Obviously there was a manufacturing defect in the product which led to this mishap.
The least the manufacturer can do is to replace the defective product since we have paid the full price for it and it has not served the purpose.
Further I wrote to Amazon about the bursting of the cooker and as suggested by them I sent photos from all angles (8-9 photos) of the burst cooker. Amazon verified the photos and asked me to approach the manufacturer directly since the product was barely eight months old and in warranty. I wrote to manufacturer on 24th June at email address provided by Amazon but got no response for five days. After five days I sent a reminder to same email address but the second email was not delivered to manufacturer for reason of rejection by recipient.
Now I will have to approach Amazon again to redress my issue. And hoping for the best.
While Amazon had in their initial email to me assured me all help even if manufacturer does not respond to my request for replacement of product, in a subsequent chat with Amazon the customer service executive regretted to give any help altogether on the grounds that the return/replacement window had closed. i then wrote an email to Amazon again reminding them of their earlier assurance of helping me. I received an auto reply from Amazon to my email saying that a customer service executive will contact me within 12-24 hours. it is now already over 48 hours since my email but nobody from Amazon has contacted me so far. So much for the assurances provided by Amazon.

I received 4 litre pressure cooker instead of 5 litre..pan was good very heavy and strong but they r cheating ..i measured with my old 5 litre cooker..but they have mentioned it is 5 litre

The product which I have received the handle is broken.But is small hence I cannot return it.The product is good.
