I have ordered this item before and if the price doesn’t go up, I will order again. All ink cartridges are too expensive. I’ve heard of people who will buy a new printer on sale rather than replace the cartridges on their old printer because it’s more cost effective! For some odd reason they don’t give you a package option with both black cartridges, the one for documents and the one for photo (225 and 226). Since I mainly use my printer for printing photos I buy this package which also includes photo paper. I have bought this package a couple of times and the ink cartridges work fine and are easy to install. I would like Canon to give an option for a package that replaces all cartridges including both black ink cartridges, hence the 4 star rather than 5 star rating.

I tried off-brand sets for the first time and almost thought my printer was malfunctioning because the quality wasn’t what I needed no matter what I tried. Replaced them with these to be sure it was the printer, and everything worked perfectly. I’ll stick to the brand from now on.

I all ready had 3 large black cartridges, but not enough regular sized colors. This was just what I was looking for.
Good Stuff –
Stuff works as intended. Think I don’t like how they rarely sell all five of what you need in one container. Specifically the black ink as there is a wide container and a slim container. One is for images needing black ink and the other is for black text printing. So with prices for ink I can see why printers can be so cheap or even free with purchases of computer equipment or whatever. Personally I think it’s such a ripoff and find that the ink drys out wayyyyyy before I even get ROI out print jobs. What I need is a printer that doesn’t dry out (laser jet maybe) so I’m going to watch my next printer purchase and maybe just get a used laser printer or something and see how that works out. Have to research that when I need a new printer and see if that would be the way to go for me. Other than that, ink works good when used and if you print out a lot then you should get some good ROI out of your ink purchase. =P

So much better than dealing with a big box office supply store.
