Very good printer. Installation and wifi connection did take some time. But did it on iwn. With expertise should be easy. Otherwise print quality etc is fantastic

Press the wps button on your printer and the wifi router and it’s connected. You need an additional printer driver from the site and the darn machine doesn’t have it’s model printed, I had to use the amazon model name and then it worked.
Actual use is very decent.

AFTER FEW DAYS USE IF YOU PRINTING OTHER SIDE OF PAPER, PAPER IS JAMMING AND PAPER STUCK INSIDE..DOUBLE SIDE PRINTING IS NOT POSSIBLE..COMPLAINT TO CANON THEY REPLIED I WILL TAKE 8 ORKING DAYS TO ATTEND THE DEFECT..TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED..LET US WAIT FOR RESULT..I THINK HP IS BETTER THAN CANON

After going through so many negative reviews also, I ordered this. As the parcel came from FBA, it was sure that product was original. I checked, original seals were there. I followed the instructions given by canon in YouTube video for Wi-Fi setup, it took around 1 hour due to some iterative settings, but finally succeeded and I am happy with the performance. Able to take prints using Wi-Fi from mobile and laptop also. Print quality is not very fine but it’s OK and worth the price.

As canon is canon but still I think this model should be little modified by manufacture for two things . 1) This printer should have dust cover on paper loading tray at bottom like (Hp1020) as paper bunch remains open in this model & dust appears on top of paper.
2) Top paper holding tray should modified like Hp1020. As my desktop table has already undertable provision for printer space but due to this printer top paper holder tray which consumes more height , it stucked while entering to its place , so I dismental that tray from printer & inserted but now my printer is without paper holder tray.( If kept this printer on open table top then it’s ok.) Otherwise verry nice quality printer in everything (hardware , print quality & its budget price)

At the first look, the installation of the wireless printer is extremely complicated to install, but if the simple instructions are followed it is normally complete within about 2 minutes.
1. Install CD in the computer or laptop for setup.
2. Click on Easy installation in the Canon dialog box to start installation.
The printer will install as a normal USB wire connected printer
Then the following steps will connect the printer to the wireless LAN ( to be done only done once for one printer )
3. Then select “e-manual” option from the dialog box and click on next button.
4. While installation it shows connection options.
5. Then choose wireless LAN connection.
6. Press and hold the WiFi button on the printer. Hold the button still when its light starts flashing.
7. Then within 2seconds press the WPS button on the WiFi router. If light ON continuous without flashing it means the printer and wireless LAN connection is created.
8. Then accept the conditions and license by clicking on next button.
Now the printer is connected to the LAN. The blue light will not be flashing but will be continuously on.
The following steps connect the computer to the printer as a “wireless printer”
9. After finishing installation and given instructions go to Control panel.
10. Select “Hardware and Sound” and “select Device and Printers”. Then click on “Add a Printer”.
11. It will show a small window . Select “Add a network , wireless or Bluetooth Printer”.
12. Then it will starts searching for available Printer. It shows printer name on the window then select the printer name and click on next button.
13. Then accept the conditions and licence and click on next button.
14. Then select the location , printer name and derive for creating path . click on next button.
15. Then select the save button for saving settings and click on finish or next button.
16. Now It starts for printing through wireless LAN connection.
The wireless printer will figure in each of the print dialog boxes.
