I continue to purchase original ink cartridges after a few bad experiences with “compatible” or “refill” offers several years ago, one of which trashed my printer. Sure, you pay more for the original Canon ink, but you know it will work and in many years of use, I have never had an issue with original cartridges causing problems. The pages and photos I print are always smudge-free, and I’ve never had a clog in the jet systems using original ink. I know many people who argue remanufactured or refilled cartridges are fine, but all it takes is one bad cartridge to ruin your printer!
My Canon Pixma 620MF is now going on six years old, and it still functions like when it was new. I end up replacing the cartridges about every three months, but the print quality remains excellent and the printer has not had an issue of any sort. I consider original ink cartridges to be like cheap insurance for the printer!
