The best model for domestic use where moderate to heavy printing is required.
Print quality is good and good value for money.
Set up is real easy.
It comes with all the ink bottles and will last very long.
Wifi printing is very fast and there is no delay.
Direct printing from the phone app is also cool.
The software for laptop/desktop is very user friendly.
Good quality paper should be used to get a good printing quality .
People looking for printing directly from iOS device should look for printers with AirPrint feature.

For the most part the printer works fine initially – but it has two things that have caused us massive headaches-
1) From time-to-time (regardless of printer usage) it will start printing poorly with missing colours, text etc. You will need to do print head cleaning and “deep cleaning” which will waste a lot of ink besides your time. Then from time-to-time even the deep cleaning will not work, and you will need to do what’s called an “ink flush” – short description – in order to ‘clean’ the printer’s nozzles it will flush A LOT of ink into the system (almost used half the tank’s capacity!!)
2) The paper tray is vertical which is not just awkward, but a magnet for random things like paper clips staples, hair clips to fall into, and to take them out is not easy. You need screwdrivers etc. and have to open up part of the printer.
Edit: September 2022:
3) Now it has paper feed rolling issues and doesn’t take paper in. Tried all sorts of troubleshooting, feed roller cleaning etc. but nothing works. It is now a defunct printer, and I am buying a new Brother one. So this printer lasted (with a LOT of difficulty) for 3 years only. NOT WORTH IT.
I am comparing this to my Brother Ink Tank printer, in which the printing quality is not as good as Canon (particularly with the vividness of colours), but maintenance wise they are night and day. Not even one issue with the Brother printer in 8+ years, while the Canon has given 4-5 major problems in 2+ years.

This is a great color printer for home or personal (infrequent) use. The following review is accordingly with that in mind. If you are a heavy user, then you should ideally be looking to buy a good quality laser printer instead of an inkjet printer.
I have been using this printer for a few months now and am very happy with my purchase. The
color prints are fantastic – much better than the neighborhood photo studio (make sure you use good quality print paper – I use Kodak glossy print sheets). Also the canon print utility allows you to easily print borderless photos. Black and white prints are satisfactory as well. One thing to note is that by default the print settings are at Standard quality. Unless you are printing drafts, I would advise setting it to High.
The scanner could have been better. It isn’t great but its passable. Make sure you update the scan dpi settings to highest available (600 dpi) else you will get pixellated scans. Ideally I would have liked the option of 1200 dpi scans.
The other good to have would have been automatic duplex – it only has manual duplex mode.
The printer comes with 1 black and 3 color ink cartridges – and the inktank windows allow you to see exactly how much ink is remaining. I don’t know how many prints the inks would give in total since I use the printer occassionally so still to run out of the first ink fill – but as I’ve said earlier, if you’re a heavy user then a laser printer is the way to go. If you are an occassional user and need good quality color prints, then this printer is highly recommended. Even though its a bit expensive, the color photographs are superb.

Good sturdy product you won’t feel low quality plastic anytime , printing speed also good. so for printed around 50 page’s within 5 days , the quality of print is satisfactory, you won’t complain for sure. I bought it for ₹14000 which I felt little pricier. I will post the long term review later. Overall Ok 👍

It’s an excellent printer for home and small office usage. Some times there is some issue is with the printer head. Need to check YouTube for the fix. Little tricky when setting up the wifi but over all it good and does the work very well.

Its been 3 yrs i bought this printer…Ard 3k colored pges i have printed…which is not much. I have spent around 6k for repairs and ard 2k for ink which is quite high..Moat of the ink went in flushing and cleaning due to clogging and non usage of the printer..They say if u do 1 -2 color and 1 b&w printout every week then no clogging, air pockets etc are formed and it runs smoothly else after every month or ao flushing and cleaning is required. For me for 3k pages even if i add my car petrol that i would soend going to market and getting a printout it would have been cheaper.. cause price of printer, repair, paper, ink combined comes out to be more expensive….so buy it only for convinence… and yes way better and cheaper than cartridge printers

A compact, feature rich, robust and reliable printer with ‘okay’ printing speed. It’s easy to set it up by yourself. I’m impressed with the print quality and color, on both plain white sheet and on glossy photo paper. The only negative I found on this device is the noise, but there is a ‘quiet mode’ on the PC app which almost solves the issue. Highly recommended if you are looking for a budget printer for low-volume home use.

I have been using this product for 1.5 months now:
Pros:
Good print quality
Variety of connectivity options
Cons:
Not so easy to install – especially the wifi setup via direct connect and network is not clear
The application to monitor the printer needs to be much better – the screens are not so easy to understand, and basic printer management functions seem lacking
