If you are a diy person and can handle refilling the cartridges with ink using injection or even modify the printer to fit a CISS kit ( although you can buy new cartridges everytime ink runs out , it’s far from being cost effective) then it’s the ultimate budget options for you. Yes you don’t get a inbuilt scanner BUT it has wifi Connectivity which is a huge plus and provides unlimited possibilities in this price .
After setting up the printer WiFi you can:
1. Print using phone
2. Print using pc/ laptop without connecting printer with cable everytime(lazy AF)
3. Print from anywhere in the world using canon IJ cloud printing
4. Scan documents using scanner apps and print the pdf directly , eliminating the need for a scanner in the printer
Original cartridge ink and printing quality is amazing, nice colors , details and all .
After refilling 3rd party ink reliability of cartridges and quality will solely depend on the quality of ink you refilled with.
For instance I already ruined one black cartridge because of bad ink. Cheap ink dries up fast thus it clogs print head nozzle very frequently (real life experience) and has bad color reproduction. Choose refilling ink carefully and don’t use cheap stuff

Printer is ok. First struggle for connect wireless. But once it connected to my router it got easy to print.

Canon is always good at photo printing and this time it is not different with TS307.
Before using this printer read the manual because wifi setup is a bit tricky.
This printer comes with WiFi and wifi direct (printer created hotspot) and company doesn’t advertise i.e. Bluetooth (which can be activated from printer’s web UI) and old USB port.
You can easily set this up using your smartphone using Canon pixma app using both wifi or direct method. In direct method you will require password which written in the back of the printer (serial no. area).
I have connected this printer to my router using wps method(p.s.- router is not necessary you can use this without a router).
Now coming to printer’s printing ability without which it will be useless to these things. It comes with 745s black and 746s color cartridge which seems to have very less introductory ink, but if want very less monthly printing then this is for you(you may require cartridges very soon). Both the color and b/w printing looks good (if you apply proper paper and settings).
Now some people are complaining about print quality or quantity, they should first of all consider the price of the printer, and they should also know inkjet printer cartridges price(Don’t misuse inks by printing unnecessary photos or documents, because I have some experience in this). This is a printer for rare printing situations/emergency purposes. To use a inkjet printer properly perform cartridge head cleaning before printing after a long time. Please don’t be a noob if you not able use this printer properly dont blame the printer, otherwise you will not be able to use a Inktank printer also.(Because I have been using inkjet printers since 2009, and I do have some knowledge in it)🙂
Bought for Rs. 2060 and couldn’t complain much about it.😉
Update after 4 months of usage(09/03/19):
Printer still works the same in terms of functionality wise (printing and connectivity). Cartridges are almost dead now because I told in my previous review that first cartridges came with low inks, so I need to replace the cartridges soon. Two cartridges will cost me around RS.1100 (I don’t like refilling because it degrades the printing quality). I will invest in cartridges because printer costed me RS.2100 and I occasionally print color pages (my Laser Ricoh SP111 is my daily printer). Still it is bang for buck for me.🙂

A complete disappointment and mistake.
Black ink finished after printing around 28 pages. Only 21 printed normally, 7 pages wasted as they were partially printed with minor or major printing breaks.
And these prints were not at all content intensive pages but children’s outline drawings (colouring pages).
Didn’t have anything to print earlier during the initial 10 days of purchase (Amazon return period) and didn’t want to waste ink printing anything worthless, knowing there’s lockdown everywhere.
But damn my luck, the school print work had to come after these 10 days.
Given a chance I’d blindly return this model and go for a better model with good ink and print capacity.
Pros:
1) WiFi enabled printer
2) supports both direct WiFi and the WiFi network
Cons:
1) Slow printing
2) Pathetic ink capacity
3) No option available to select print quality- Economy, Standard, Best from anywhere- Canon App or network settings. Hence ink gets consumed more even for sample or rough prints. (How can a reputed brand like Canon avoid such a basic feature)
4) Customer care number is never available and most of the time doesn’t even connect
5) Paper gets jammed often
6) Not at all economical
7) No instructions/options on network setup in manual.
Password doesn’t work if you type it. You can only login if you copy paste.
8) cannot reset ink levels. Not automatically or manually. After spending much time on Google, it seems it can only reset if you purchase and install new cartridges as their circuit IDs are different and not if you refill it. (Ya.. Right. If only buying new cartridges were economically priced one wouldn’t go for refill)
Overall:
Don’t opt for this model even if given free. Based on past experience, I seriously feel HP printers is a better option.
