Canon Store Canon IVY CLIQ 2 Instant Camera Printer, Mini Photo Printer, Turquoise (Matte)

This product is so easy to use and prints so well!! I bought it to use with the adventure challenge book (which I recommend too!) and love that you can peel the back of the pictures to stick to whatever you want. Only downside is no self timer

I bought this camera with instant print using Zink paper because I have the Canon Ivy 2 Mini Printer (which I absolutely love). I wanted the fun of having an instant camera so I assumed the Cliq would work just as good as the Ivy Mini Printer, especially since it uses the same technology, but I was so disappointed—the photos came out dull and dark and washed out. I tried taking pictures in different settings and lighting, but the same was true. I was very unhappy with this camera and sent back for refund. Get the Canon Ivy Mini Printer instead.

This is 100% not a camera you want to buy when you go on vacation and want to take great pictures. This is 100% a great camera to get a little kid who wants a camera. I got this for my 6yo for their birthday and they love it. I also got them a scrap book to put the sticker picture in.
Pros:
easy for little hands to use
doesn’t seem easy to break
doesn’t require any ink refills
film is inexpensive
selfie type pics come out good if you remember that the shiny part around the lens is a mirror. My kid took one of us and I looked fantastic LOL
There is no flash, the camera adjusts itself in the dark
Cons:
Film instructions are weird. I still cant tell if I’m supposed to put the cardboard card in with the film so I just do it because it looks like it has a code for the camera to read
Removing back of picture is a little difficult. Little hands may not be able to do it themselves
Pictures are low quality but not super horrible, like I said: good camera for kids, not for an adult on vacation looking for great pics
It’s difficult to point and shoot even when looking through the little box, which is tiny.
It takes awhile to print, so after you take a picture you have to put it down and wait for the picture to process and print.
There is no flash, the camera adjusts itself in the dark

The con’s aren’t so horrible that I’d say don’t buy this camera. I do think it is about 30$ more than it should be, but the price on Amazon is the same prices every one else sells it for, that I could find.

DO NOT BUY THE CIRCLE FILM. The die cut film does NOT work with the camera. There is no setting on the camera to adjust for that film, it will print out over the entire thing like a regular picture. The only way to use it is to buy the printer you hook up to your computer then use that to print out the images AFTER you use a template. None of which I bought because that is just a bridge too far to use circle cut out sticker film for a camera that is basically for little kids. If you want to have circles with a third of the image on it and have it be weird or abstract, then get the film.
