This external dvd drive looks very premium in the picture but believe me in reality, it is very shabby and made with cheap plastic. I bought it thinking it would be made of premium material and be very sleek. It is thin but not as thin as shown in the pic. It comes with a cd which you will have to run and install it onto your computer in order for other dvds to work. When you press the button, the dvd slot comes out rather suddenly and makes quite a lot of noise. Dvds work fine but after 20-30 mins of run time, the disk starts making noise and the drive gets quite warm. This is not a bad option but is clearly not the best. Don’t get fooled by the premiul looks because it is clearly not. There should be better options.

Easy to use and setup. However does not seem very sturdy (looks like it can easily break if dropped or put in a packed backpack. Better have a proper case with it or carry with care. There is no carrying case provided with it so I guess it is more suitable for a permanent position (don’t recommend to carry it around as you may damage it)

Certainly not the best buy but still for that price it’s OK.
1. I was unable to run one CD until now, my gta vice city which was lying around otherwise everything looks fine.
2. It’s made of very cheap looking plastic unlike the picture.
3. It does get hot after some time if it is placed in a congested place (my desk)
4. Finally, double layer DVDs seem to have some problem with this drive; transfer speed is very slow.
Overall, it’s OK for that price tag… Not exactly loved it but I don’t hate it either

Has been 2 days I bought it and works nicely like any external drive should.
Good purchase.
Recommended.
Lastly about the delivery wherein despite being a Prime member, it takes 5 days to receive any product we order.
Need improvised service from Amazon.

Its very good. Very easy to use. You don’t need to install any software to use it. Just plugin via USB port and you are set to use. You can use it with both MAC OS and WINDOWS. It’s compatible with any version of OS (operating system) of MAC.
Regarding burning, it takes 15-25 min to burn DVD or CD (depending upon the amount of data you are writing). For MAC u dont need to install any software to write dvd or cd. MAC has its own software which is compatible with this device.
Drawback: it’s too delicate. Don’t drop and don’t keep something heavy on it.
