Fitting Is not good for me

* Sound Quality – 5/5
It’s the absolute best quality sound you can get for this price range (I got it for ₹909). The mids and highs are crisp and clear and it has decent bass.
Overall the sound quality rivals those of the apple airpods wired earphones which are sold for ₹1600.
If you’re looking for some exaggerated bass, you can rather settle for brands like boat.
* Calling – 4/5
The mic provided with the earphones are good. When using them in silent environments, it suppresses the wind noises coming from fans for instance.
On using them on busy streets with heavy traffic too the person on the other end could hear me clearly but along with the background noises too. Still I could have a conversation where I was heard clearly.
It’s still better than any of the Bluetooth earbuds nonsense mics.
* Fit/Comfort – 2.5/5
I believe this is subjective, but as for my relatively big ears, these earphones didn’t fit well. It falls off easily making it annoying. I definitely can’t use it for working out, or even if I’m walking fast.
The quality of sound is missed a little because of the loose fit.
* Build Quality – 3/5
I understand that I can’t ask for everything at this budget, so it does look like some compromises have been made on the build. The earphones feel fragile and the wires feel thin. They have to be handled with care.
The placement of the mic could have been a little further up. Sometimes I have to hold it in my hand to be get maximum clarity.
Concluding thoughts:
Overall I would say the fit is the biggest annoyance. It’s a love hate relationship where I love everything about the earphones except the fact that it doesn’t stay in my ear firmly as I’d like it to. If these earphones were to die, I wouldn’t buy them again inspite the amazing sound quality because the fit is truly annoying.
But now because I have it, I’ll enjoy the sound for as long as it lasts.
As for you, now you know the gamble. So you can make your choice.

TL;DR: Perhaps the ONLY good quality USB-C half-in ear type earphones with a great mic! (as of Oct 19, 2022).
Some background:
Firstly, in my long research I’ve came to know that Indian markets does not have a proper USB-C type earbuds with a good audio reproduction and superior music clarity.
Ever since I bought my new phone, (a Pixel 6a) the nightmare started on finding out a right pair of USB C earphone which sounds natural in audio with a good mic.
On the journey of getting the right one, I’ve bought a few cheaply priced earphones like Zebronics Zeb-Buds C2, which fairly does the job – nothing more, nothing less and other couple of other pairs which weren’t even worked.
To use my exisiting 3.5mm earphones, I’ve bought an adapter cable from OJUS, which is slightly pricier but fabulous in its job, after 3 failed attempts of buying and returning a few cheaply priced adapter cables (all from Amazon).
On Zeb Budes C2:
This one though a USB-C earphones, turned out to be an average outing in terms of audio clarity. Sounds muddled out with no distinction between highs, mids and lows. But was good for taking calls from Zoom/Teams etc. Does a fair job for its given price.
Still left unsatisfied, I continued my search and thats when I hit on these ones after a month or so…
Usage review:
I’ve been using these pairs for 2 weeks now (alongside with Pixel Buds-A TWS & JBL-Endurance at times). I usually dont like the in-ear type of headphones as it is causing ear pain after prolonged use, say, for more than 2+ hrs or so..
My early observations:
Music clarity:
Offers rich distinction between highs and lows, whilst the mids are retained in a perfect rhythm (listening thru songs esp hit melodies of Weeknd, Ilaiyaraja, AR Rahman, Led Zeppelin, Yuvan, Vidyasagar are very smooth)
Using of an Eq app like Poweramp Eq with right amount of tweaks elevates the music listening experience to certain extent.
Bassline is spot-on: Tested with track “Saarattu Vandiyila” from Kaattru Veliyidai by ARR where the low frequency hits a tight, thumping & boomy bass which can be felt clearly in a subwoofer setup usually, can be felt just like that in these too. This never happened with the other C type earphones I’d bought.
Other songs tested:
~ Achilles Last Stand – Led Zeppelin: lows,
~ Thendral Vandhu Theendumpodhu – Ilaiyaraja: Lows and mids
~ Save your tears, Blinding Lights, Out of Time – Mids, highs
all of these sounds well and smooth.
Not sure about the Dolby Atmos compatibility though, but works well otherwise.
Pros:
+ Bass: though half-in ear, the bass is really punchy and sounds sweet when it hits, not a boomy one compared to those full-in ear types,
+ Extremely light weight: at times you wont even realize its in your ears,
+ Calls & Placement of mic: Biggest plus of this earphones is the placement of the mic – its like the old school way of placing the mic near to the mouth area so one would not need to ‘hold’ the mic area in their hands while talking and getting it closer to make it more audible.
+ Comfort: One can listen to music/podcasts/take calls for very long time due to the light weight factor and painless design ergonomics. Also never slips out during casual walk/log.
Cons:
– Wire feels flimsy due to the low weight. Not sure how long it would withstand the daily wear and tear.
– Fit issues: For ppl using a full-in ear earphones, this might not offer a snug fit as it would not go penetrating deep into the ear canal.
Connectivity:
Seemlessly connecting between:
Phone (without 3.5mm jack) – Pixel 6a
Phone (with 3.5mm jack) – Motorola Moto G71
Laptop 1 – Macbook Pro
Laptop 2 – Asus Windows 7 (a basic one)
Interestingly, other USB C earphones would not connect to a phone having a 3.5mm jack, which I’ve observed.
//If you need a quality half-in ear type USB C earphones with multiple device connectivity, also having a sweet sound signature at the same time- then your search ends here…//
Thanks.
