I was happy with the Epson gloss optimizer I purchased it was genuine epson ink.

I purchased two of these not realizing there were two cartridges in the package, so now I have 4 of them! But most of us will go through these cartridges pretty fast, so it’s a pretty fair deal. $8 bucks a cartridge is cheap, no matter the brand, and it needs to be, since we’ll blow through this cartridge in our P400’s faster than any of the others. But, costs, aside (which really it isn’t when you consider how much you’ll get charged for lab prints), the glosser definitely makes a huge difference in the overall professionalism of the prints. It’s one of the reasons I bought this printer in the first place, because I disliked the way other printers were only glossy where the ink was and the gloss of the paper wasn’t enough to make up for this disparity. The prints looked, well… like they were printed instead of developed in a lab. The gloss cartridge in the Epson Sure Color line eliminates this problem. The rest of the complement of ink cartridges come as singlets, but I’m glad there are two of these in the box.
