After 3 months of service I saw fire in know which can is very dangerous. I have raised a complaint to prestige, let’s see what they do.

Even as a kid, I remember Prestige being a brand name in India. My parents would always buy Prestige products when they could afford it.
It seems times have changed and not for the better if this brand is considered.
I paid more than Rs. 5,000/- for this three burner gas stove which is more than double what many similar products from other competitors are priced at. Specially since this is a stainless steel top, not glass.
After reading so many reviews of exploding glass tops, I decided to go for the stainless steel version. And considering my family’s safety, I went all out with a trusted brand like Prestige.
For starters, this product is very light, that means the steel is very thin and not at all durable as claimed. Second, and this really makes me angry, the edges are not folded over as they are in most other brands. This is done to prevent injury during cleaning. In this model, there is a cheap ribbing with black rubber inside, which runs along the sharp edge of the stove. This easily comes off and it was already coming out of this brand new stove when I opened it. It does not even meet at the end to hide itself but leaves a gap about a centimeter in length. I am attaching pictures of this stove so you can judge for yourself.
Then its the regulators at the bottom. They are really cheap looking with poorly finished plastic parts and metal burr sticking out. This can easily draw blood from casual cleaning under the stove.
The aluminum label riveted at the back is of a different model which has a glass top. I don’t know whether the details given about the burners holds true for this model.
I would not recommend this to anyone. There are much cheaper alternates available right here at Amazon.

Received an open and damaged carton. Accessories mentioned in the description was not there. As i wanted to return this item and only replacement option was available in the site,Checked with customer care and I was informed to wait for 4 days to finish the investigation for this matter. After that only they can give me any solution. When customer wants to return the item how investigation is going to help the customer.

This is my review after using the gas stove for a week or so. After a heavy market study about gas stoves available in India I decided to go with a complete stainless steel gas stove. IMO all glass top gas ovens are drama. I do not understand why people risk their money in glass top gas oven, probably it’s due to the look factor. While searching for the gas top, I visited few local stores and no body was having a single piece of 3 burner steel top gas oven, all were black glass top with no guarantee on glass. Finally while coming out of the last store I opened amazon app and booked this. A little later I was surprised that the product is not covered under Amazon Fulfilled, I am a bit skeptic while ordering products from non Fulfilled seller, but this time the experience was good. I would have love to give a 5 star, but while fitting the oven I found a screw fallen off, but that was a minor one, with a little effort I put it back. Overall I will strongly recommend this item over any glass top ovens.

Nice gas stove …I am giving review after using a week…no issues yet.. working properly…I have PNG connection so prestige technician came n fit gas stove… customer care service is good..I was skeptical about the stove reviews are not good…but I ordered it from Amazon n I can say you can purchase this prestige gas stove without any second thought..

Nice looks ..strong build. Should have more ground clearance. One big con is that burner knob are on a inclined side. So it makes it prone to get in contact with surface of hot utensil (only when taking out utensil) and damage plastic knob. it would have been better if knob wall would have been vertical.

Pros-
1. This is my second purchase of the same model, after a period of ~9yrs. Older one inners had really seen the test of time so it was time to get rid of it. Somehow I liked this model and it was available so bought it again
2. The edges at the bottom rim are rounded unlike other gas stoves so it doesnt injure your hands when cleaning
3. The build quality is stellar
4. The knobs are made of high quality plastic and they really can take the brunt
5. The oval shaped design ensures no sharp edges
6. The contoured bumps behind the two large burners can be used to park vessels with good grip
7. Brass burners are of good quality
8. Nothing can beat a glass top gas stove in the looks department but I would prefer a steel gas stove over the glass one purely for its durability. Heard stories of glass cracking and didnt want to try my luck
9. I would love to have a 4 gas stove but a longer one at that than the square one since the 4 stove square one takes a lot of platform space and comes to the very edge of a normal indian kitchen platform
Cons-
The legs could have been a bit taller so cleaning below the gas stove is easier. But i called the service centre and they replace it with a taller leg (at a reasonable cost)- see pic
Tips-
1. Never ever wash your gas stove by pouring water over it with the intention of cleaning it thoroughly. It just oxidizes the components under the hood and reduces the life of the gas stove in general. We have seen folks who have maid servants at home clean the gas stove as part of their job by pouring water. Stop this immediately. But what’s the best thing to use to clean. See tip#2 below.
2. This timeless trick was told to me by an experienced gas stove technician (Mr. Prashant) and am happy to share this with you. This process can be used to clean any steel gas stove. Not sure if this works for glass table top.
Mix equal amounts of Colin Liquid + Any liquid utensil cleaner. Pour it in a bottle which has spray. You can use the colin bottle itself for this. And that’s it! Whenever you wish to clean the gas stove, spray this mixture solution and wipe and clean. I have tried it personally for a long time and it works like a charm. Let me know your feedback below by commenting. Its a very simple trick but a very potent solution to keep your gas stove sparkling!
3. For any issues with the gas stove dont let any local technician touch it. Prestige has an online complaint form and their service is quite fast. If the item is not under warranty there is a nominal visiting fees, but it’s worth it, to have prestige technician have a look. You raise a complaint and usually can expect to receive call same day from prestige to fix an appointment for visit to your house.
4. No new gas stove comes with new gas hose, so it’s always advisable you buy and fit a new gas hose(separately) if you plan to buy a new gas stove. Abstain from using an old hose on a new stove.
