I have always used the drums and toner cartridges from Brother. I know that sometimes knockoffs exist–and that some might be similar, but at a better price. For me, I can’t risk the waste of time and possibly, the problems in dealing with getting my stuff out and having a bad toner cartridge or drum. For me, when I want no problems, the manufacturer’s products are a guaranty that I’ll have none. The risk is not worth it.

It woke up my 14 year old printer so it’s printing like new again. What more can I say, Brother makes the best printers by far over anything else I’ve owned or used.

Wham, bam, thank you. . . In it goes…..
Perfect fit and works great. It is a no brainer change these. and they seem to last a LONG time.
If after reading my review of this product If you find it interesting or useful please rate it as “helpful” or leave a comment. I enjoy writing reviews on products that will potentially help someone make an informed decision based on my experience and I also greatly appreciate your feedback. So please, feel free to let me know if I helped.
I make many purchases here on Amazon and base my purchases on reviews of the product from others as well. I know that honest and helpful reviews provide insight to the company, the product, and to the purchasing experience as well.
If I feel the product is …. garbage, I will be honest and let you know what I think.
I try to be as direct as possible, but sometimes there are only so many things you can say about a product. My reviews are not only for the sellers benefit but for other customers interested in purchasing this product as well.

The replacement drum unit I bought was a factory sealed OEM product as described. What the seller fails to disclose is that both toner and drums only last a few years after being manufactured before getting “old” and are fairly likely to perform badly even if they are “new” in a sealed package. Brother stopped making drum and toner replacements for my printer over 10 years ago. Draw your own conclusions.
Be careful and research when the OEM consumable product replacements stopped being produced. I unfortunately didn’t and ended up paying a lot for a “new” OEM replacement drum that was obviously behaving like an old worn out one when I installed it right after I received it. I had to use it, so I didn’t return it, but I did order a guaranteed “new” aftermarket drum and toner replacement set (for about one third the cost of just the old OEM drum) that has performed flawlessly since being installed.
Lesson learned!
I expect Amazon won’t let me point you at the aftermarket replacement product I selected, but I did post a very favorable review for it.

This is the right part but when it went in it’s noisy!! Almost sounds like it’s stripping or grinding gears.
Installed it too late to send it back but I won’t be buying it from here again. Buying a new laser printer would be easier….
Brother use to be a good brand and I have used such for ages.. Now.. I don’t know.
