We had been using Aquaguard for the last 10 years, so it was a little difficult moving away from the brand. We figured if we have to shell out 2k to 3k every year on maintenance, might as well try another brand.
After looking around we came across Havells Max, and it seemed perfect for the money. We also considered the Pro model and in hindsight it could have saved us around Rs 1800.
Amazon’s Prime delivery was fast, we got it the next day around 10 am. The installation was faster after calling Havells customer care.
All was fine until the water reached a certain level and we noticed the machine was leaking. This kind of took away the euphoria of getting a flawless piece. We discovered that the weight sensor at the bottom of the water container was at fault. It was not only leaking but also not registering the weight to stop automatically.
We called up the engineer who set up our system and he fixed the problem by replacing the faulty sensor. Ideally this should not happen with a brand new system but we were satisfied with the resolution.
We like the design of this RO system as it’s modern and easy on the eyes. The water dispenser knob is also decently designed and refreshing. The wires and pipes provided with the system are adequately long to cover short distances, just in case you need to place it further from the sink or power source. Just be aware that even though it’s capacity is advertised to be 8 ltrs it’s just 6 ltrs when full. I don’t know how they can get this wrong.
Anyways, that drop in capacity hasn’t upset us too much. The TDS of the water from the tap was measuring at 780 and Max was able to bring it down to 44. The taste of the water is fine for now and I will try and update our experience after 3 months of use.

Good product, looks aesthetically pleasing and is really easy to use
Some points to note-
1. As advertised 100% of the water is filtered through the RO and minerals are added post filtration (unlike some others where 10-20% water bypasses RO filter to maintain TDS
2. Fast delivery and installation and attitude of installation mechanic was very good. Please note, you need to call havells and ask them for installation (it is not mentioned on the product link and I had to confirm this with amazon) would have preferred if the installation co-ordination was also taken care of
3. Since 100% water is filtered the system is a slower than other ROs that are available.
4. the water tap connected to the tank is small and this results in slow out-flow of water while filling bottles
5. The entire tank is not visible and the only indication that the tank is full is a small indicator. would have liked if it also came with a sound indication for tank full
6. Unlike some other ROs i’ve used in the past this operates without any sound and the taste of water is also excellent
Overall I would recommend this product for home use. especially for people living in Delhi-NCR or other areas where the water is hard.

The RO is good. The TDS of our tap water was above 800. With this RO it has brought it down to around 50.
Pros: because it can be installed on side of wall, it takes up very less space. And water output speed is also ok.
Cons: the water wasted for purifying seems little more. Though we try to reuse maximum possible water, but some water still gets wasted and it feels bad.
The after warranty service is very costly. The maintenance costs ~5k per annum.

Unit was installed at my place on 24.11.2018.
Following are the observations:
1. As i have mentioned, the product is excellent, Finishing and Aesthetic of the product is very nice.
2. Delivery – well before 1 day of estimated date of delivery.
3. Installation is totally free, Technician who installed unit was very decent, Responded well and installed very well on time.
4. Though it is mentioned as 8 litres by Amazon, it’s a 7 Litres capacity. But, in my opinion, it was not a major issue. 7 Litres capacity Ro+UV with Mineralizer at this price, i would say this is the best product.
5. Capacity : 7 Litres, Time to Fill complete 7 Litres : 20 minutes approx, Wastage of water for every 7 Litre is 15 Litres Approx. However, this 15 litres water can be used for planting trees or in the toilet or cleaning the floor of the house.
6. Taste of Water is good. While Drinking, i really feel the cleanliness of the water.
7. Clubbed product “Ampereus PFTRPTW2 FRP & ABS Pre Filter Set With Taflone/Wrench/Pipe for RO Water Purifiers (White)” is recommended on Amazon to buy. Don’t buy this extra Ampereus pre filter. I bought this pre filter extra, but 315Rs Waste.
8. Maintenance : 2 Filters will be replaced after 6 months automatically by the Havells (Free). After that, i think 5-6 filters are to be replaced yearly (Chargeable), costing Rs.5000 approx, as per the Technician who installed this product at my Home.
OVERALL GOOD EXPERIENCE AS ON 26.11.2018.

This is not an environmentally friendly product and I regret not doing the necessary research before buying this. For every litre of filtered water it wastes 3 litres of water. That’s 21 litres meant to go down the drain for every full cycle of the purifier. I believe this is the problem with all RO based water purifiers , not just Havel’s.
We have started collecting this water in a drum and using it for chores around the house, but this might not be possible in every house.
The end product is quite pure and tastes fine, but I’m not too particular about the taste of water anyway. The person who came to install it was prompt and polite. He gave me good advice on the service plan that I would need given the water quality of my area.
Will not buy this again unless the technology has dramatically improved.

I have been using this product for the past 5 years and have not faced even a single issue. I opted for the annual amc package which would cost around 5k for an year. It covers all the necessary replacements. Service is prompt but just that it sometimes annoys when the service representative tries to sell additional accessories.
