I’ve had this laptop for just over 2 weeks now and I have experienced more total system crashes in that time than I did in over 2 years on my home built desktop PC. It’s clear to me that the hardware components of this device are simply faulty, and the issue probably lies in the APU.
For those of you who are not totally tech savvy, an APU differs from a CPU or GPU by combining the two components into one. I’ve been watching my resource monitors while doing more intensive than simply browsing the internet. The CPU quickly overloads to 100%, followed by the GPU component of the APU, and then they just sit there until the laptop crashes, requiring a hard restart.
I have never been more dissatisfied with a device I bought than I have been with this laptop. I have had cheap smart phones, under 100$, that crashed less in a years time than this laptop does in 2 days.
Furthermore, even when only browsing the internet, the battery rarely lasts beyond 2 hours.
This laptop sucks, and I wish I could return it. Instead I’ll be selling it on the facebook market place and taking a loss, but happy to get rid of this piece of crap.
