I just bought it for the specs which are what I really wanted.
PROS:
It’s a slick computer and light weight enough. Very happy with the weight.
Shipping was super quick and it was delivered 3 days or so earlier than estimated. Wonderful so far.
It’s super fast with 32 GB memory. Fantastic for multi-tasking.
All that would have gotten 5 stars from me…… had it not been for the single negative (below)
CONS: (only one. But biggie, imho)
When it comes to using it, especially the keyboard, you will suffer! The metallic silver gloss on the keys reflect light which makes it very difficult to see. Visibility of the letters are reduced to a narrow angle of about 45 degrees (eyes to keyboard). Anything more than 90 degrees, you will find it very hard to see.
Even if you use the backlit, the LED lights are so narrow that you still struggle to see which keys you’re pressing!
And that’s during daytime. In night-time use with an external source of light, the visibility angles change, but remain very narrow.
It’s such a tragedy that such specs come with such a horrible keyboard. I may have to return it, unfortunately. That’s why I gave 3 stars (only for the specs it would have been 5. Keyboard gets 0 or minus)
I will NEVER buy a laptop with silver or metallic keyboard. Big mistake.
I dont understand why manufacturers dont test the keyboards before making us go through this!

Having owned Dell computers for decades and being disappointed with the last two Dell computers, I decided to try HP. The laptop is lightweight, nice looking, and super fast with the seventh generation RYZEN 5000 series and AMD Radeon graphics co-processor. It cuts through work with ease. There is no lag, stalling, or weird fan noises, and it freezes with what characterized my last laptop and was about half the price. I couldn’t be more pleased. The only negative was windows defender glitched by saying a virus was on the system with the location being the “D” drive. There is no such drive. Running different antivirus software didn’t help. Resetting with a clean data install fixed it. It was relatively fast to do and no problems since.
