Performance on this laptop is pretty good. The only lag I faced during gaming was while connected to an external monitor and playing Far Cry 5. But it was only with this game and it works fine when not connected to the external monitor. Which is probably due to the resolution. All games are running fine except maybe the very latest releases. If you still want to play those you need to get a cooling pad and reduce the graphics to low/medium depending on the game. Most games show you how much the GPU consumption will be based on the resolution and graphics quality settings so you can adjust that accordingly. Overall it’s pretty good. The drawbacks are mostly about the build. I don’t know about quality since it’s new and haven’t had much wear and tear yet but this thing is a Finger print magnet. You’ll have to keep checking your fingerprints wherever you touch the outside or below the keyboard for thumb rest. Maybe get some skin and stick it if that’s your thing. The cooling is pretty good. If you are getting this for gaming 90% of the games should work fine unless you play really demanding games. Also you get one month of Xbox pass free.
