This is absolutely the best computer for me. It has all the features I have been looking for in a laptop. It is lightning fast for what I do with it and doesn’t get hot like my old one did. I couldn’t have found a better one. VERY pleased with this purchase.

I bought this for the optical drive so that I could RIP my music CDs onto the drive. Turns out in Windows 11, Media Player no longer let’s you rip CDs. The best work around is to use iTunes. If I had known this, I would have considered an Apple product.
This computer has 1 TB of disc space, yet at every every turn, Microsoft is trying to sell you more cloud storage.
Microsoft got rid of Internet Explorer and some of the programs that I wanted to use are no longer functional. Their new browser, Edge uses “Bing” as it’s search engine and unless they have vastly improved it, I feel that this is a mistake.
But what really makes this a business computer is that Microsoft keeps popping up with messages that you should buy Microsoft Office 365, and the cloud, which is a great idea if you have a job where the company is paying you monthly fees and you need to share files with fellow employees. THEY DON’T LEAVE YOU ALONE, TRYING TO UPSELL YOU EVERY TIME YOU TURN IT ON! And it really isn’t useful for a home computer. I can download a free “Word”-like program, although no one sends letters anymore, and I will never need a spreadsheet or database, etc. This aggressive upsell campaign is tiresome to say the least.

Arrived in the HP box with a Costco label on it. Purchased thru Amazon not a 3rd party. When I tried to register it with HP found there was only 5 months left on the warranty, so obviously somebody opened it for some reason – something I think should be disclosed to the purchaser. If its opened to add components this should be disclosed to the purchaser, otherwise it looks very shady. Who was in it and why? For $1200 I should be getting a new computer with a full warranty. Other than that its speedy and the touch works.

So far so good
