Riley –
So I had gotten a pair of Jabra Elite 4’s and they were pretty good but didn’t seem to do everything as advertised, full disclosure they had a malfunction and I had to return them. I then got these, the Elite 4 Active’s, and they do everything as advertised. The noise cancellation is not top of the line, but as I use these in a very noisy work environment they do the job well enough, I’d definitely recommend these over some with better noise cancellation that cost more.
It takes some time to adjust to the different press mechanics than most ear buds use, 1 click to the right to start/stop, 2 to go to next, and 3 to reverse. The left uses these: 1 click to “deactivate” noise canceling, 2 to use the default voice assistant (obviously more geared towards phone use).
The sound quality is very good and there are great adjustments that can be made through the jabra+ app.
I’ve tried plenty of cheaper ear buds and have gotten decent results, but I can honestly say that the extra few dollars for these are worth it.

These easily connected to my iPhone, iPad, and most important to my Cayin N3 mp3 player. Customizing the EQ was a breeze in the app. Turned off ANC and hear through. Just a waste of battery energy. The L sized ear gels do the job by blocking out approximately 40-50% of surrounding noise. These ear buds work better than my Loops. Connectivity and sound quality are key to me. I like to hear drums drumming, electric guitars screaming, singers singing in full blast.
Even on my N3 the volume output with these earbuds is pretty decent. Watching movies on my iPad has enhanced with the new acoustics. A full rounded sound with crisp highs and tolerable bass (no sub low frequencies are needed by my ears). I tried AirPods Pro 2 and Sennheiser Momentum and had to return them both. AirPods completely failed when trying to hear music with my N3, volume output loudness stayed in the lower end, could barely enjoy any hard rock theme and this kind of flimsy ribbon controller on the AirPod did not work at all. Sennheiser ear buds where not able to pair with each other, and Sennheiser usually are my favorite as a HD600 owner. So finally I tried this Danish design product. A full success.
EDIT Feb 21st: these earbuds are worth every cent. The Jabra Sound+ app does a Great Job here when adjusting my EQ preferences. After watching movies and listening to music for more than 4 hours, battery life of the buds still show 40%. Wow! I read the rave reviews about B&W earbuds and alike priced at $300+. Yeah, I agree, you can even pay a six digit amount for your audiophile components and I honestly would deeply regret that too. Who in the world honestly believes that your ears will appreciate such cost spent? I am a musician and I dare to say that I have an excellent hearing capability. My wife often wonders when I tell her about this nuance of a singer’s voice or the difference in velocities of how piano keys are played by different players. My Sennheiser HD 600 certainly makes a difference when compared with these no brand knock off products flooding the global market places. BUT compared with my HD 600, listening through my Jabra Elite 4 Active, the difference in sound quality is really marginal when it comes to rock, electronic music, folk, pop. Classical tunes are a different league, but still. Free range of walking around without getting messed up with cables dangling from headphones, what a true relief! I can put approximately ten meters distance between my in ear worn buds and my iPad before the connection starts to on/off/on. It’s not always this slogan “you get what you pay for”, because sometimes it is also the renommee (Hype, so to say) of very well established brands that dictate their price tag too. This Jabra design was made in Denmark, a small country where Bang and Olufsen is coming from. Totally overpriced products. When I hear BEO, my sound sense of cost spent says: sorry, not for me. Well, these Jabra earbuds still have to prove their durability. Time will tell. However, for now my level of satisfaction when it comes to listen music and watching movies is more than fine.

I’m giving 4 stars because there’s a lot to like about these ear buds.
Bluetooth seems to work as expected. The connection is clear and stable and has enough range that I can walk around in a large room without my phone and the connection stays stable.
The app that works with the ear buds is pretty cool. It’s smooth and efficient with enough options to make it a nice, uncomplicated app.
They fit in my ear very comfortably and look good too.
Here’s my issue though…. They Dont have enough volume, bass, or punch for my liking. I guess I’ve been spoiled by my Sony Wf-XB700 ear buds. They have all that. But I’m not here to promote another product.
If these ear buds had more volume, punch and bass then I would have considered them the most perfect ear buds I’ve ever owned. Especially for the price I paid. Not a bad price but the sound quality (only the sound quality) remind me of ear buds I’ve owned for half the price.
But I still give 4 stars because of all the other great qualities of these ear buds.

My review is regarding the “Jabra Elite 4 Active in-Ear Bluetooth Earbuds”
I’ve used Jabra’s Elite 75t bluetooth earbuds previously and found they worked fine. Some minor annoyances with how it would pause if I took out one of the earbuds, and the fit wasn’t 100% secure, but I was satisfied enough that I went ahead decided to try out the Elite 4 Active.
THESE ONES ARE WAY BETTER. They’re entirely black which I prefer to the dual-toned gray and black, AND THEY DON’T PAUSE UNLESS I PUT THEM BACK IN THEIR CHARGING CASE OR MANUALLY PAUSE USING THEIR TRIGGER!!!!!!!
This product works fantastically. I ****can’t vouch for the noise cancelling**** portion since I don’t really have a need for that, but they ****remain very firmly within my ear for 9 hour shifts at work**** each week with the default set of buds.
They come with (in total) 3 different sizes of “secure fit buds” (whatever they’re called to ensure a long lasting firm grip in your ears so they don’t fall out) which should be nice for those who may need a larger or smaller version to properly fit their ears. Can’t hear anything except my music, which is a huge plus from me. The range is pretty solid for my needs.
And the best part is I’m not a walking advertisement for Apple! AirPods design hanging so low out of your ears practically looks like you’re wearing a massive earring and effectively makes you a walking advertisement for them. Jabra Elite 4 is comparatively very discreet and hardly noticeable. Even purchased a backup pair when they were on sale a few weeks after my first pair!
