Bought a pair of these on a whim during a lightning sale. I have an older Charge 3 which I was very much impressed with, but rather than splurging for another charge, I decided to get a pair of flips in the hope of stereo sound. The overall quality is good, but these speakers are significantly smaller than the charge. Also, while I can connect them together for stereo sound using the Android app, when playing music from my phone, they don’t seem connect with the button on the speaker itself. When I connect to my lap top, I can only get one speaker at a time since there is no Windows app available. If I connect both my phone and my laptop I can get the laptop to play through both speakers, but still not in stereo. Disappointing.
I initially got these to use in a classroom, but after all the effort of getting them to connect, the automatically power down after a few minutes of non-use to save the battery, but that doesn’t work for me and there seems to be no way to override this feature.
Also, while I was looking for a budget friendly option, I wish I had held out for the Charge, which is more expensive, but fills the room with sound much better. The charge isn’t that much bigger and still easily portable. Why so many options JBL? Reading other reviews of both models I couldn’t figure out much difference between the two. Knowing what I know now, I would have bought another Charge instead. Perhaps in a smaller environment these may do the trick.

I bought this after I couldn’t get an Anker Soundcore 2 to connect to my phone. This has much better sound and did connect. I listen to mostly heavy rock, and it did muddy up a little at high volume, but I expected that. It seems tuned more for rap or pop type music. Sounds great at low or mid volume with any music. I use it for workouts in our spare bedroom, so I haven’t gotten it wet and probably won’t. I also haven’t used it enough to really comment on the battery life yet.

This speaker is great to take to the beach or lounge by a pool. It has great range and is easily portable. The case that came with it is great.

Bought this initially to use in my pre-bluetooth era car. Beautiful sounding speaker. It connects easily to my phone and works flawlessly. I think it’s last year’s model so I got it at a discount on Amazon. I also connect it to my iPad. I love it.

My old speaker finally died so I hem and hawed over different JBL’s. Finally decided on this one. Love it! It’s easy to use. It comes with a case so it’s nice and portable and keeps it clean. The charging doesn’t take that long and the different color selection is an added bonus.
