Review as an Audio Engineer:-\n It’s been 3 days since I’ve replaced my yamaha hs-5 with these studio monitors. I’m quite surprised by these. \nIt turns out to be better than my hs-5 even being a lot cheaper. My yamaha hs-5 really lacked a lot of bass frequencies, which is clearly audible in these jbl speakers. If you are a new producer then I would recommend this to you as your first purchase… The audio output is really close to the source audio. \nPoints to be noted:-\n1. It is a professional audio gear for flat audio response, if you are looking for a pair of speaker for entertainment, these might serve your purpose as well but it’s a little pricey for entertainment purpose. \n2. The bass is pretty detailed compared to yamaha, it is much easier to distinguish between each notes in the bass frequencies in jbl compared to yamahas\n3. Even tho you have output volume knob on the back of each speaker setting them and the same volume might give you an imbalance audio output(very common for studio monitors)… Use your ears and tweak the knobs until u get a good center image of audio. You can even search for how to tune studio monitors, to get idea how to do it.\n4. The hiss from the speaker is very low compared to others… If you are using balanced cables it will give you best results \n5. Make sure you don’t hit the tweeters of the speakers they are very fragile. And keep the tweeters at ear level for best listening experience. \n The only cons:- I would not say it is a major con but the speakers are a bit larger compared to other 5 inch monitors. Maybe because of the wave guide.\n. \nOverall you can make hits with these speakers, the only thing is to train your ears well. \nThank you 🙂

Provided power cable is european type E/F . It will not work properly with Indian type D sockets. There will not be an earth pin, which is critical for professional audio equipment. And more importantly, even of you can force a type E/F plug into a D socket, it can cause improper connection and sparks and damages. Think before you buy, if you want to do a sloppy connection with those or buy your own cables. It is improper from a reputed company to charge so much and not even think about such basic details.
