After 15 years, the Aquaguard Reviva water filter, that we were using was ripe for replacement. One persistent problem that we were facing with the machine was the recurring algae problem in the tank bottom, despite regular cleaning. The service technician said it was due to the sunlight and the transparent tank. The other problem with Aquaguard was the atrocious service — days would pass before a technician would deign to turn up, despite the annual service contract.
So, the hunt began for a new machine that had not only RO, but also UV–and we came across the KENT Prime Plus. A quick review of its specifications revealed something interesting — a UV light that kills bacteria and other pathogens in the storage tank. I wonder why no one thought of this before? The other useful feature in this model is the large visual display that shows the status of the filter and RO membrane, the water quality and and status of the machine. When the filter and RO membrane are close to exhaustion, you can call the service center. This is very useful. The machine also claims to waste less water.
While the machine took a while to deliver (it was shipped from Ludhiana to Bangalore!), it arrived intact. I was able to schedule an installation from the Kent web site, and a service technician turned up the next day to do the job. What took me by surprise was the cost of the external sediment filter (Rs 1300), but I decided to install it to protect the machine from sediment particles in the supply water. Kent should reduce the price of this filter about Rs 700.
The machine seems to be working well over the past week. At installation time, the measured TDS of the inlet water was 235 and the output water was 55. However, I have no idea if the machine gets rid of other harmful chemical in he water — the manual is silent on this. I hope it does.
Some things that Kent can improve about this machine: get rid of the numerous stickers plastered all over the exterior. Seriously, do we need so many? Next, reduce the noise of the pressure pump. This machine is positively NOISY, when compared to my older Aquaguard Reviva, which you could barely hear when in operation. The manual could also be improved a little.

I did a lot of Research before buying this one. I even bought a TDS meter as the water in our area isn’t upto the mark. This is a 9L capacity RO water purifier with UV+TDS+ etc and it does a fantastic job.
The TDS level is adjustable but it’s inside the RO body. You would need to ask Kent installation guy to set the TDS level(at whatever level you want). Ideal is 30-120. We’ve set it at 80. All in all it’s a great product if you’re looking to buy a safest drinking option, apart from water wastage. The water that comes out of RO while filteration can be stored to water plants, wash utensils etc.

The product came in as promised by Amazon but when the installation engineer from Kent came we found out some wires were not connected inside the machine. The engineer had to disassemble the entire machine to connect the wires and later some sensor issue cause machine to switch off very frequently. finally the engineer called someone Kent as was told to bypass that sensor. When asked the engineer told me that sensor is useless and needs to be bypassed. It took 4 hours to complete the installation and get the machine started. writing this review after 4 days of installation will update later.

Water storage tank is not filling 100% and water purifying stops when it is still 30% empty. Need solution for this.

Got this product a month back, used it for 2 weeks. This product is very good, amazon delivery was also on time. Had very bad experience of installation service, I had to chase installation person for three days even after escalation till area manager. Also, I bought Kent senldiments pre-filter from service person but he delivered inside cartilage of some local made. Overall service experience is very poor so I have reduced the overall rating to 4 star though product is 5 star. I would recommend to buy pre-filter online if available.
