It will take 10 to 15minutes to cool a room of 80 square feet room. Once it’s cooled to the wishing temperature it will keep chilled for the desired time without failing.
It’s very silent compared to Daikin, Samsung and it’s cooling can be sustained for long time with different modes.

Pros: there are many modes which are useful in different conditions.
Cooling can be done without fan.
Very silent which don’t annoy you at night.

Cons: remote control has no light in it so you need to switch on light at night to control the AC.
Initial cooling is very slow even with Virat mode.

This Ac is very good if outside temperature is under 35 degree maximum in overall day. In west bengal currently in MAY daily routine temperature is like 40-42 degree(i believe Celling temp is about 45+ degree, as direct sunlight heats up ceiling continuously whole day), my room is 140sqft, My 1.5 ton 5 star ac 2023 struggles to reach less than 25 degree using VIRAAT mode in terms of overall temp in room in extreme hot weather. It consumes about using viraat 1.4+ unit/hour while it consumes 1.4KW to 1.57KW for under 35 degree ( upto 1.75 KW for extreme hot and compressor is exposed to direct sunlight) for initializing cooling and about 0.45 unit/hour using 40% mode in these hot day time which runs on 500 watt ( It gives 28 degree cooling). At night after 12:00 PM. 40% mode consumes about 0.2-0.3 unit/hour temp ( provides me around 25-26 degree with 270w to 320 watt power consumption as it utilizes inverter function if daytime is extremely hot in general) depending on allocated temperature generally i set 25 degree while outside temperature is 28 degree. I managed to get 24 drgree for using 40% in normal weather at night. So, this ac will be good for ground floor bedroom(upto 150 sqft) or top floor( which is less than 120 sqft) ..For extreme hot condition it works decently only on VIRAAT mode. I think for such case DAIKIN,PANASONIC,HITACHI,SAMSUNG AC or LG (4 star model 2023/5 star 2022 model) will be better option which have greater cooling capacity eual or more than 5000watt at 100% capacity( where LG provides 4600watt cooling capacity which is actually equivalent to 1.31 Ton which can be extended upto 5400 watt using VIRAAT/110% mode =1.52 ton). Only low power consumption under 35 degree,Vey Low noise level,strong build quality, good services and decent cooling at VIRAAT mode(At Extreme Hot) can be expected from LG. Best way to get proper benifits in energy consumption is that i play 20-30 minutes on VIRAAT mode, then I use 100% mode at auto fan speed at 24 degree. It will use 0.7-0.9 unit/hour if outside temperature is under 32-35 degree. Auto fan speed is very good option after achieving 25 degree as it cools efficiently and it is same for longtime usages.

I learned from my experience
1) I should have suggested to the service engineer to install outside unit at the shady part of Rooftop/ above the window shades toward North or East direction. But they installed outside unit above rooftop toward west direction, where AC ambient temperature is much higher for direct sunlight after 10:00 AM.
2) Place AC indoor unit at the suitable spot of your bedroom/work room from where you can access properly the air blow. I made a mistake fitting it above of my BED , that’s why i can’t get proper feel of cold air while i am on the bed as its rotation of up-down flipping is around 60 degree downward from horizontal level as you can see on the picture which is the minimum you can set from remote/ app. But sad part is that normally it flips for once around 85 degree when swing mode is started. So personally I adjust manually flip by hand sometimes.
3) Definitely i should have gone for other brand for better cooling as i have mentioned already according to top floor room. Convertable mode is not so useful for INVERTER ac if you manually control the temperature. Your electricity power consumption depends on the temperature you have set,room temperature and outside temperature. If the saturation point/targeted temperature is achieved easily/fast, you will be sure that power consumption would be much lesser. You can use smart Plug for monitoring exact power consumption for non wifi model which costs less than 1k.
4) Try offline dealer/store for once, you may get it at cheaper price and extra warranty benefits for some specific brands. I bought this unit at ₹47300 after EMI discount on credit card from amazon.
5) I followed some youtube videos where LG installation engineers are doing important “VACCUME process” for longevity of R32 gas and “air leaking test”. But for my case they haven’t done either of these, they told me that these were not necessary for new ac!! I don’t know which is authentic..So, you should confirm when they will call you for installation.
Rest of all, my installation charge is around ₹2860 included 1415(basic installation charge)+ 885( outside stand)+560( 20 ft draining pipe).
6) Everyone suggests to buy a stabilizer. I haven’t bought it, it can handle from 120 volt to 285 volt. I went to Lg website and searched this product, they have mentioned there that no stabilizer is needed. However, I don’t face any power fluctuation problem in my Locality, so i didn’t think of it. You can consider a stabilizer as a future proof.
LATER EXPERIENCE>> After a tons of research, recently i have insulated properly bottom & side of the door and windows using door insulation
strip and single sided foam tape available online. I am surprise that it has improved 15%-20% more efficiency.
room gets cool at faster rate.
Initially i ignored those tiny gaps, as it was not noticable. As a conclusion proper air sealing will definitely improve AC’s efficiency.
