I got this machine from croma retail as it was even cheaper than Amazon. I was all set of IFB but the salesperson mentioned about the advantages of direct drive and all that and was saying this is a newer technology than what IFB has. Anyway, long story short, somewhat reluctantly went with this. I have been using the machine for over 2 months now and these are my observations-
PROS
1. Single machine for washer and dryer and hence saves space
2. Being a single machine you dont need a separate connection for the humid air coming out of a stand alone dryer
3. looks pretty good according to me but then this is not really a decision maker or breaker
4. has wifi connectivity allowing you to remote start and informing you when a cycle is complete
5. plenty of programs are available at the turn of a dial but then most households would use a maximum of 2-3 of those most of the times
6. service for LG has been a good point since a long time an this is where I was undecided between LG and IFB since IFB service was a question mark for me
7. Can dry completely if within the 5 kg limit
CONS-
1. There is a lot ofdifference in the capacity between the washer and the dryer – 9kgs and 5kgs. This is a hugggggeee difference according to me. Few other machines come with lower difference
2. The drying cycle (machine to wardrobe) takes way longer and ends up crumpling clothes like anything. This is a really really sore point for me as I dont want my clothes to be crumped so badly that even after folding they stay crumpled
3. Measuring 5kg for a completely dry load is a problem but then thats an issue with all such machines and not specific to this one. So clothes are either very crumply dry or wet in patches here and there.
In a nut shell, I would mostly use the dryer only during monsoons. Rest of the times it will just be a washing machine and clothes would be dried on the lines in the sun. Unfortunately this machine does not completely solve the purpose that I intended while buying it.

This is a superb machine which washes and dries clothes in the same tub.
Pros
Good quality wash.
Silent.
Great looks.
Can be controlled through phone.
9kg is more than enough for 4 to 6 member family.
Cons
A bit costly.
Drying takes longer time compared to standalone dryer.
