I originally bought the Logitech C920 ($79+tax) to use with my MacBook Pro for Zoom meetings for work, but in a naturally lit room, my face was always blown out and the quality looked not much better than the device’s built in webcam. I was also experiencing extreme video lag when enabling the camera on meetings. A colleague mentioned the Brio worked well for him so I gave it a shot. At almost $20 cheaper the quality of the Brio was noticeably better (maybe a little too HD 🫥) and although I still had some video lag in the Zoom meeting initially, I later determined the issue was with the Dynamic Background feature of Zoom. Disabling that meant moving instead to a portal-style view (to hide my cluttered room) but honestly that was fine. I am very pleased with the price and quality of the Brio and would recommend it to others.

I got this camera, but I admit I didn’t have very high hopes, but I’ve been extremely impressed and I’ve gotten compliments on how great the quality has been including the microphone

Logitech Brio 301 is a stylish home camera that has just what you need for a chat on Skype, Zoom and Microsoft Teams. Be it like who finds himself to need a camera from time to time (even these situations are quite rare) this is and excellent choice. If you want a camera for streaming or for a job that needs that extra precession then this camera is not for you. The microphone is OK, both It could be a lot better for this price, the official software is nice and minimalist and you can adjust your webcam to your liking if you are unsatisfied with the default settings. 1080p and 30FPS is just what a home users needs and nothing more is left to say…

My desktop was missing a camera and microphone. This camera satisfied both for me and is literally plug and play. No additional software downloads. The camera image is very good. Wanted a Logitech camera, and this one came highly recommended for easy, general use without hassles and adjustments.
Get it if you don’t want to mess around with settings and software but want a camera that makes you look professional.

The picture quality is “okay”. It’s better than my Macbook Pro laptop camera which is what my goal was. However, I noticed it does not focus on my face and is instead focused on the wall behind me. I never looked to see if this camera had auto focus, I just assumed if I bought a webcam for my face, that it would at least have a shallower focus. The crop and zoom are a little tight too. I would probably get a wider angle next time but now I’m stuck with this one unless I want to drop another $50.
