I had my Orient fan still in warranty but due to noise issues from shaft/ball bearing and failed service attempt by their customer care desk, I decided to ditch my orient fan to Luminous ceiling fan. This was my first Luminous purchase other than inverter battery and I was right. This fan is silent to its core and there is no noise from shaft or ball bearing.. it’s just the sound of air displaced by fan blades. I have tried this fan at all speeds from 1 to 4(max) and it’s awesome. I find the fan speed is also better than any base model.
#Update after 8 months of usage: it’s still the same. The fan is dust repellant. I am happy with my purchase.

Ordered this for the unconventional looks. Yeah, this looks good once mounted. It is pretty average in terms of performance. Did not find any difference in air throw over the old, simple and a very regular fan. Two downers for me (1) it started making noise as if the bearing is worn out only after using it for about 3 to 4 days and (2) The shackle provided in the box was deformed and was unsafe to mount the fans as it wobbled a lot. Had to retain the shackle from the old fan for this new one. Overall the product does not justify the price.

It’s good for big room definitely not for small 11*12 room since it’s shaking very badly… electricitian suggested these High speed fans need height and spacious rooms. Not suitable for bedroom
