Although I’d had this Mixer for two years, it had had little use – none for the bread hooks, the whisk twice only and the beaters about twice a month. It stopped working in the middle of making a cake (fuse changed; socket changed to be sure) which, as I paid £60 for it, I consider as equipment not fit for purpose. I had no satisfaction from a phone call and email to Morphy Richards other than offering me a reduced price for more of their products. Why they think I would pay anything to them when I have an expensive and completely useless piece of their equipment already is questionable. This product is defective and of poor quality and the fact that they offer reductions for other products a sign that they know this. I note that other reviews have the same complaint. Definitely a big mistake and I will be avoiding anything with their name on it in future.

The best mixer I’ve used. The speed is variable depending on how much you press the trigger from almost nothing to full. Set the speed, press the lock button and it stays set. It’s not cheap but it’s worth the money.

The machine is the second one that I have received as the first one stopped working, one of the spindles stopped turning the beater, causing the beaters to grind on each other and jamming. This was replaced, as it was still under guarantee. The replacement has exactly the same fault as the first machine. For a company as well known as Morphy Richards, it is very disappointing that I now do not have a working hand mixer, due to the poor build of the product and poor quality control.

Got to Shetland on time ,I use to have a Morphy Richards hand mixer years ago and gotten lighter and easy to use as I do a lot of baking I need a decent hand mixer
