I have had this mother board for several months now and so far she’s as smooth as silk. It has an available slot for the latest SSD which will probably use later on, the built in HDMI is nice too. It has built in USB 3.0 which i appreciate and its got room to expand.

I have only one complaint, though a very minor one: So I have a hot swap bay for a 3.5 and a 5–whatever hard-drives but it only supports one bay which is the 3.5 which is by no means a deal breaker but I 4 of the larger hard drives and am a little annoyed at having to use an external enclosure for them but….that is only a minor irritant, it is by no means a reason not to buy this motherboard as its a pretty solid build and I like the features.

My one year old Asus Strix Z590 had problems so I switched it out for this MSI Z590 MEG Ace Gold Edition.

Installed it and got it fired up with no issues. Updated the BIOS with no issues. Has been running great ever since.

I’ve had MSI MOBO’s in the past and they always have been excellent performers. Gold finish looks awesome in my new Phanteks white NV7 case build.

MSI software could use some work. It’s not bad, but like most other MOBO software it’s kind of clunky and not very functional as it could or should be. Only using Mystic Light for RAM right now and it works fine.

MSI BIOS is fine. Easy to use and overclock.

So far, very pleased with this board. A good choice for the money.

I like MSI for all my boards and laptops etc. i just do not like this board.

I have 2 M.2 NVME drives in slots 3 and 4. it is the ONLY way they will show up in the bios. my CPU is a core i9 10 core gen 10. If you add the nvme drives, you lose sata ports. like if you add 2 nvme drives, you lose 2 sata ports. its stupid. its like intel completely limited this board with the number if PCI-e Lanes. i have 5 sata drives and 2 nvme drives. one of my sata drives (which are in a Raid configuration) are offline until i remove one of the nvme drives.

i have so many drives cause of the AAA title games i play. games these days are 50+gb in size each.

also, the heatsink and the way the nvme drives screw down is the dumbest thing i’ve ever seen. zero thought went into engineering this board. it is the worst. i’m probly going to ditch this board and go with another model with better specs and is actually intelligently engineered. this is just stupid.

i’m going to digress a bit and add this tidbit. yesterday i upgraded to a 11th gen core i9 8 core. a lot of hmy problems went away but not all. usb is shotty at best. you still lose 2 sata ports with all 4 nvme ports populated. i’ve never had that issue before ever. as i said my 7th gen i7 6700k ran circles around this build.
