Unable to provide full-acceptance rating until late December as TV that remote is to be used with is in another country and I won’t arrive there with the product to test until Dec. 22 at the earliest. Delivery was timely and device seems to be what I need.

After grandkids’ visit, (ahem) needed to buy another remote for my Samsung. This remote came with no instructions on how to open and insert batteries, but not sure their instructions would’ve helped. You’re supposed to be able to slide off the entire back cover by pushing on an arrow printed on the back cover and sliding it off. THIS DOES NOT WORK! Watched a YouTube video FULL of comments on what people tried when pushing on the arrow didn’t work. I finally used a tiny flat screwdriver, inserting it into the slit on the “half oval” opposite the arrow (narrowest end, on back) and GENTLY pried the darn thing open. Delighted that I neither broke the remote casing nor gouged a finger in the process.
