Panasonic MC-CG304 1400-Watt Vacuum Cleaner (Blue), Standard (MC-CG304B14C)

Seller : KIDA Retail. Good packaging, prompt delivery and brand new appliance, so no complaints. Though Metal extension pipe was bent at the one end but I was able to push another one in it to connect and it worked out well.

Vacuum cleaner : This blue one ( CG-304) differs from Red color model one in couple of ways :

1) It has suction control , so you can adjust the suction power, useful for vacuuming curtains and carpets as well as upholstery.
2) Extension pipes are metal instead of plastic ones that you get on Red one.

Considering the small price difference, I think Blue color model is value for money.

Pros :

1) Good suction with 1400 mmWC pressure.
2) Adjustable Suction /blower power
3) Re-usable dust bag
4) Good quality plastic with compact design
5) Reasonable noise level at the lowest power setting
6) Number of accessories ( compared to Karcher WD3)
7) Auto winding power cord with one push.

Cons :

1) Only Dry vacuum, though wet vacuum as advertised by Karcher ( WD3-5) etc is of no use. You do not want to get your big machine out, remove dust bag, plug it in and vacuum tea or coffee spill and then take out filter to dry it before you can use it again for dry vacuum. Normal mop works best in that kind of scenarios in Indian house holds.
2) Blower power is even less than similar wattage Hair dryer and most irritating part is blower hose gets disconnected at slightest pull or direction change in vacuum. Users will be re-attaching blower hose every second minute and that takes fun out of using it as blower.

– If you do not need Wet vacuum function, then this one is better than Karcher in terms of ease of use and price consi
dering you get re-usable dust bag and at lest 4-5 additional brushes for sofa and furniture cleaning.

– Have used only couple of times, so can’t comment on durability or after sales service.

Received the product yesterday….Purchased it after a long research and comparison with Karcher WD3 model….Though the pricing is almost same, the plastic quality and the accessories provided in Panasonic win over Karcher any day while Karcher dominates this model only in size and usage in WET mode too.

PROS:

1. Retractable cord
2. 13 pieces of accessories including brushes, 1 extra filter, all attachments and connecting pipes each for each specific purpose to clean car, fabric (sofa), floor and small , deep & unreachable places too….Check it out yourself and you realize what I am saying…
3. Super build quality
4. Compact size
5. Malaysian Make
6. Extensions provided can help you reach ceiling up to 10-12 feet height.
7. Detailed huge manual which states hell lot of things from what was provided to how to use and park the vacuum cleaner after usage and cleaning.
8. 2- year warranty. I have personally checked with service center and the warranty card states it as well.
9. Most importantly- Re-useable cloth dust bag which can be washed and cleaned multiple times without frequent replacement.
10. Indicator to alert us when the dust bag is full and need to be emptied.
11. Accessories storage bag included as well.
I am yet to check its performance but I am sure it will leave up to its expectations.

Regarding the product,I bought this, when my Eureka Fobes burnt away, just 15 months after purchase. And the service attitude of the staffs really pissed me off and hence I thought of trying a different vendor. I have a panasonic LED and the service of them was really good and hence thought of trying this.It is just a month, since I am using it. It is a beast, a powerful beast. The 1400W power really shows off – it sucks what ever comes in its way. We tried cleaning the sofa, curtain, the window rails, floor, matress, under the bed – and i must tell you, it was excellent. Prioir to purchase, i read reviews about the “big” noise that this makes – but, i found the noise similar to all vaccuum cleaners that i have used ( 2 previous Eureka Forbes!). The gadgets supplied are standard and i didnt feel that anything was missing. The overall built quality is also much better than EF.One draw back is the dust collector bag- its a bit small for its size; but happy thing is that, they have supplied one additional. Overall, it looks good and just to be on the secure side, i bought the extended warranty (1+2 years) from Amazon (Jeeves) itself.
