I’ve been using a murphy richard mixer grinder for some time- 3 years, lives in Noida and have hard water. so the Murphy Richard Mixer started getting rusted from the bottom and could not give excellent performance(Morphy Richards Icon DLX 750-Watt Mixer Grinder). I liked the mixi but something was missing. The jars were difficult to open and it was a task to get the jar out from mixi. So I started looking for my perfect mixer grinder. I wanted a mixi which has a better locking system and ended up buying Philips (Philips HL 7720 750-Watt 3-Jar Mixer Grinder). Oh that was bad. So much of noise. I had Garam Masala to grind and I could not grind even 50 Gms of it. The small jar was hot within 20seconds. Had to return the very same day.
Now I started seriously looking fo a better grinder, I prefer to grind my own masalas and use the mixer daily. so needed something better than whatever I used so far. Went through hundreds of reviews and finally selected Panasonic. When this Mixi arrived – I was relived to see the quality of the Jars – much better than ive used. The locking mechanism – excellent. Same Garam masala was grinded within a minute. No heated jar. wow.
Since I suffered a lot while looking for the perfect mixer grinder, I though to write this review so that others do not need to. Its a very handy mixi. Good quality of Jars, the steel and plastic. Very easy mechanism to operate the mixer. Don’t get scared by the shape. The mixi body is thin and long and so it get nicely tucked in a corner. Looks beautiful. Easy to operate using the piano style buttons. So far loving it.

This smart Mixie is working perfectly!
Dry whole spices became powder within 10-15 seconds (using the smallest Jar).
Pitha/Uttapam mixture became smooth paste in 1 minute (using the biggest Jar).
Interestingly, the Noise is low (not unlike the screeching, loud Noise in a 750 W Mixie).
I just love the double-locking system!
Mixie will not start till the Jar is not locked in place (in other Mixies, Jars will start functioning even if they’re not set, resulting in corrosion of the parts below the Jar).
I also love the Lid Lock which means you DO NOT have to hold the Lid down during operation.
But there is a Con: In the Grinders (with double-locking systems) I’ve checked, the Lid for the smallest Jar does not lock properly. You’ve to manually ensure that it is properly locked by pushing the small protruding plastic Lock forward, with your Thumb.
TIP:
1 – For first time use, before using food items in the Jar, first wash the Jars with water using the Mixie.
2 – NEVER fill more than 60% of the Jar! Read the manual on how much to load.
3 – For the Lid Lock, make sure you hear the ‘CLICK’ sound when you press it shut tightly! If not, press the Release button, open the Lid and repeat the action. If, even after doing this the Lid is not locking, just return the Mixie for a Replacement.

Review after two years of use.

It stopped working again.Now the product is out of warranty and took it to Subhash.com, Mission Road where I got it repaired two years ago. From my experience Subhash.com was a reliable Panasonic service center in bangalore and is closed down now.On calling the customer care they gave the number of Bangalore service center, that turned out to be the same place where I took it initially and mentioned in the initial review.I’m planning to dump it and purchase a new one of any other brand who offer better service.

Review after One Year of Use.

Since my review is voted to be the top one and it is very hard for the consumer to find a good Mixer Grinder in the market,It is my responsibility to pass the feedback after one year of usage.
The product is performing well after the initial issues mentioned in the earlier review.I never faced any problems in the everyday usage,through out the year.`
Raising the rating from One star to Four star. Te reason for not giving 5 starts is the difficulties I came across with servicing.

Initial Rating
I bought this mixer grinder after getting a positive feedback from one of my friend.The motor is dead after a usage of 25 days.
The service centre guys diagnosed that the overload protection switch didn’t work as expected and the motor is burned.
I left the mixer with them for replacing both.Will be updating my review based on the future performance.
Update for after 20 Days.
I got the replacement for Motor and Overload Protection switch after 15 days,on taking it to the second service center.
I had to take the appliance from Authentic Services in Indiranagr to Subhash.com, Mission Road to avail the service.
I took it to ‘Authentic Services’ as they are mentioned as an authorized service center in the service manual.
They diagnosed the issue and asked me to wait for few days.
On following up after 4-5 days they informed that they are awaiting the arrival of spare parts and will inform you once it is done. Since there was no response for another one week, I gave a call. Surprisingly they informed me to take it back since they have some disputes with Panasonic on warranty claims. They were unable to give any convincing reason ,why they accepted it for service and kept it for two weeks.
Then I tried calling the customer care manager number provided in the service manual. Received answers like, the person is not at desk, on a break etc. So dropped an email requesting to liaison with the Authentic Services. Next day received a response with the contact number of Karnataka service in charge.
On calling the Karnataka service in charge over phone, he asked whether the warranty card is sealed and signed by the seller. I told it is an online purchase and have the invoice .finally he agreed for the service and asked me to bring it to Subhash.com, Mission Road .They fixed the issue with in a day and I picked it up on the next day.
It is too early to comment on the performance after the service
In a nutshell,
No doubt that it is a better engineered product than any other competitor in terms of safety.
Panasonic definitely need to improve the service quality.
As always Amazon delivery was excellent.
I do not recommend this product from my experiences.
