Philips Audio Fidelio L2 Over-Ear Open-Air Headphone 40mm Drivers- Black Fl2P

Excelente calidad de sonido, y al ser de baja impedancia no requieren (aunque si se benefician) de amplificador, si como yo tienes una colección de música lossless en tu PC y te gusta jugar con el EQ, te van a encantar, incluso sin DAC, se llevan super-bien con el app de Dolby Atmos o el APO Equalizer.

Entrando en detalle:

Diseño y construcción:
Muy impresionado con la sensación de estos audífonos en mis manos, están completamente hechos de aluminio, con la diadema forrada en piel y cojines de memory foam. Incluyen 2 cables de forro tejido con conector de 3.5, uno estéreo normal, otro con micrófono incluido, y un adaptador a 6.3, todo bañado en oro. En las orejas se sienten muy suaves, el diseño semi-abierto permite mejor respiración, la diadema se ajusta fácilmente y aunque viene acojinada, se hubiera agradecido mas suavidad, el peso se empieza a notar en la punta de la cabeza después de una horas.

Sonido:
Antes que nada, no tengo mucha experiencia en equipo de audiófilo, solo he probado un par de hifiman y sennheiser certificados con sello hi-res. Dicho esto, estos Philips Fidelio son los mejores audífonos que he probado en mi vida, la firma es bastante plana, al punto que tardé unos minutos en asimilar todos los sonidos que estaba escuchando, probar estos cascos con mis rolas favoritas fué toda una experiencia. Me la pasé todo el fin de semana ecualizando y es increíble la respuesta de estos drivers, uno puede abusar de frecuencias muy específicas y aún así no se nota nada de distorsión.

Ojo:
Son de espalda abierta, para usarse en lugares silenciosos y en privado, no aíslan nada de sonido ni para adentro ni para afuera. También es importante considerar que el sonido depende de la fuente, la música comprimida (youtube o spotify) se nota mas comprimida y no hacen nada para mejorar el sonido, los bajos suenan a la misma intensidad que lo medios y agudos, requieren ecualizarse a tu preferencia, si esto no es lo tuyo, mejor considera unos JBL o Skullcandy que vienen pre-ecualizados.

Was really excited to get these headphone that I’ve been eyeballing for couple of years. Prices went up and decided to forget about them. I was looking for my next open back headphones when my Sivga 007 got a loose wire inside the earcup (was having issues with the headphone jack and I decided to take a look inside). The Sivga lasted me for 3 years with light use but it all it needs is the wire to be solder. Now back to the L2. So after finding them on sale for 80 bucks I had to get them. When I got them, I was immediately impress by the looks but most importantly the construction! The headband and the headband adjuster is made very damn solid! There is some padding on the headband but not as much as my other inexpensive headphones. Still sufficient for me and no soar spots on my head. I must thank my thick bushy hair. Ha! The earcups are made of thin aluminum but sturdy. Not very heavy but you can diffidently feel the quality and some heft to them. Especially the headband! They can swivel to lay them flat. Very smooth when they swivel. Wish the earpads were a little deeper but it worked out for me quite good. The cables that came with it are very nicely made. No cheapy wires! The wire with the microphone (I don’t use it) has a very sturdy feel to it. Thick plastic. Doesn’t feel cheap. Now for the sound! When I first put them on they sounded really good! The bass isn’t very deep but I wasn’t looking for an open back with deep bass. Regular bass sounded good but if I wanted an extra oomph, I just turn on the bass boost on my portable amp and was good to go. Im no expert but everything else sounded good to me. They are somewhat forward sounding which is not a bad thing. The headphones seem to be a mix between close and open back. Not too open like the Sivga 007 and not too closed. I like headphones or IEMs to sound different but also enjoy my music at the same time. I had the headphones for less than a day. I use them in the afternoon for my walk and they sounded great to me! BUT when I used them again at night, they started to sound quite off. It would sound harsh at times and sometimes it would have a SHHHH sound. I thought maybe it was the wire, the music I was playing or something else. I did switch wires but the same issue. The sound wasn’t consistent when I first put them on. The box did came with a dent on the top left of the box but the headphones were fine. Sounds like a bad driver. Who knows how long they been in that box! So I give the headphones a 4 star for construction but a 3 1/2 stars for sound! Again don’t expect very deep bass but again it could be because of these problems? Who knows. I did order a replacement because I do like them when they sounded “good” but will see what happens with the replacement! If anybody’s interested Ill do an update once I receive the new replacement. If they sound good Ill keep them!
