I purchased it for my wife. She barely uses the steam function of this steam iron. I also found the steam function is not that practical, easy to use, or a much needed thing that we suppose it to be. The base plate of a steam iron has multiple holes that reduces its surface area extensively. So I would suggest to choose a dry iron for fluid applications and practical usage.
