The Lid does not fit on the dish fully which would eventually leak the steam which affects cooking time and gas used. Seems to be a design issue. Immediately requested for return and refund… Saw few comments earlier but I thought it’s only with a few units but looks like all units are same…

First of all, this is not an induction based kadhai. To get better idea about the size of the
kadhai, i placed it on this regular single burner gas stove. See attached pics.
The kadhai can technically hold 2 litres of liquid if we fill it with liquid upto the brim but
not overflowing. But in actual usage, no one fills it upto the brim when cooking. So, in actual
cooking, it can hold 1.5 litres with half inch space left near the brim.
The lid doesn’t fit snugly, because the brim of the lid touches the steel handles of the kadhai
preventing it from fitting snugly. Some air wil pass because of this. But this small fault maybe
overlooked.
The kadhai is heavy and size is made to look big by having broad opening (gauge?) but depth is quiet shallow. I bought it for cooking upma/kesari bath for 2/3 persons. To extend the life of this nonstick kadhai, I strongly recommend tha you reserve this only to cook dry/semi dry food like aforementioned food. For regular food like dal or curry, use regular kadhai. Also, don’t use it
to dry roast rava, vermicelli etc without oil as dry heating will damage nonstick coating.
I am using this to cook fried rice, chowmein and even sandwich. It works great.

I did a lot of research while buying 20-22 cm radius kadai. I had even gone to 2-3 local store for checking it. They told 850 – 900 rs but amazon delivered the same product at affordable price. Performance wise It’s really awesome. Earlier we used to cook vada or oil fries in copper bottom steel kadai which resulted in uneven heat distribution in the vessel and lot of smoke inside our kitchen. but after using this pegion kadai there is uniform heat distribution and no smoke at all. Got for it if you want smoke free and clean cooking. This kadai can cook curries for 2-3 people and cooks very fast. Small families and small bachelor rooms can go for it. I like the thickness of the vessel which provides a greater life time and Maid wash proof also… Don’t think just go for it
