Day 11 of buying Poco X5 5g….
Issue 1. The phone shuts down suddenly while charging
Suggestion- Don’t buy.
Poco lost it’s fame like it used to have during Poco F1 days.
Anyone else facing same issue??
Don’t know for how long will this review be shown but I will try to upload it again if it gets deleted.
Guys better go for other brand.

First we’ll discuss the pros.
1. Decent battery can easily last a day even with 120 hz setting with medium high brightness.
2. Flawless touch and display, great for games and content/entertainment.
3. 5g connectivity is okay. 10 Mbps average in delhi
4. Storage is relatively faster
Cons
The chips isn’t very fast. Low level chip for 5g phones.
Now comes the main problem which makes this phone worth hating, it’s camera. Both front and back cameras are pathetic. The megapixels units have no meaning for this phone since the sensor is pathetic and optimization is poor. Front camera will give you results equal to that of laptop 720p webcam. Same goes for back camera but with little more colour balance. Overall the camera is useless, 2018 phones which cost less than 8k have better camera quality than this. School/office work is nearly impossible to do with this phones camera since document clarity and optimization is pathetic. Overall this phone has everything one needs, but worseness of its camera overrides all other pros. final verdict: Don’t buy.
Edit 1 : it has been 2 weeks of rigorous use. The battery lasts for an average of 8 hours of active screen time on 120hz.
There was a system update recently but it only had security patch.
The camera performance and optimisation is still pathetic. I’ve tried using multiple camera apps and all of them give poor performance. Clicking document/work pictures is a very difficult task as back camera stabilization is exceptionally poor, even the slightest of vibration in your hand will blur your document picture entirely.
Sound is exceptionally loud but the quality is bad, it feels like you’re some illiterate guy carrying a cheap speaker since there is no stereo audio configuration.
Video calls are not possible with this phone, the other person will not be able to recognise you due to the poor front camera.
The weight of phone is really light feels slim in hand despite having a relatively large size.
#I try my best to find positives in this phone afterall I’ve spend my hard earned money on it , but unfortunately it was the worst decision of my life to buy this. I still can’t understand how this phone has 4star+ average rating with 1100+ feedbacks. My previous poco m2 pro which was rs 11k in 2021 gave me better performance than this.
If you’re planning to buy this either increase your budget or go for iqoo/motorolla/OnePlus Nord.
I will not update this review further as I am planning to exchange this phone ASAP.
#please don’t blindly follow product ratings and do your own research.
Thanks and regards
#update 2 – this is probably the most popular review of this phone on Flipkart with around 200 likes, but what truly matters is that this is the only genuine review here. I don’t know how many of you can read this because this review was removed by the authority of poco, which proves they don’t want public to know the truth. If a company can’t accept how bad their product is , it really shows how much they care for customers. I am trying to republish my review.
