I found the Racold Omnis Pro (10L version) to be everything it advertised. It’s compact in dimensions and enhances the bathroom experience. It’s a very new model in the market when I purchased in July 2023.
The installation was quick (racold provides with two SS connection pipes of 18 inches length during installation) and the heater comes with a 15 amp plug pre installed.
Water heater has just the one setting knob to set the water temperature (upto 80deg).
It takes about 10 minutes to fully heat upto that temperature and with that one can get easily about 25-30 litres of bath water. Also, the heater water stayed warm enough after 6 hours of switch off. So the insulation is great.
The heater serves the purpose of a family of 2-4 with ease as long as the waiting period is fine. The best thing I liked about it is simple,old school way of single switch operation with none of the fancy Leds and digital stuff that modern heaters seem to have.
Only dislikes was that the output water pressure seemed to be a tad lower than my previous heater and there is a hissing sound while the water is heating (which is supposed to be normal).

First things first —

1. Packing & Delivery : As usual, great packaging and hassle free delivery. Kudos to Cloudtail India and Amazon.in.
2. Unboxing & Verification : Was happy to witness the brand new water heater after unwrapping the box/dabba itself. Verification and product registration is an important thing as a customer one needs to be more cautious and responsible. Thanks to Racold customer support; everything went well for me.
3. Installation & Demo : I’ve gone through a lot of pain to get the water heater installed thoroughly and setup the wi-fi module/component and to make it work without any issues. Speaking about the installation, I have had a nightmare experience to get the product up and running. It took hell lot of phone calls, emails and follow-ups to get my water heater fixed.
Nearest and a local authorized service center is responsible for the product installation. But, unfortunately they behaved unprofessionally…in fact like crooks. They say they would provide water pipes (which doesn’t comes with the product) based on the length — from the place where the water heater is mounted and to the point where the tap is available. But, but…but it is damn expensive. As per them, only 1.5 ft (both inlet & outlet) pipes will be provided, if that’s insufficient, every 1 ft extra is chargeable! I was like W-T-H! If you doesn’t have any basic knowledge of plumbing and electrification — YOU ARE DONE! They will snatch your money! Be careful. Yes, the poor installation team started doing all sort of nautanki. But, I was in command! Luckily got the installation done.
The installation guys were from pure hardware background who hardly knew anything about the Wi-Fi setup. I fixed the wifi thing on my own, by understanding the steps provided in the manual which just looks like an ordinary pamphlet!
My dear Racold fellas — make sure you take this whole case seriously and come-up with some better strategies for superior customer service & experience!

1. Product make, look & feel and sturdiness : Looks great. No issues {4/5}
2. Accessibility : Yup, we are in the world of IoT. It can be controlled from you mobile. But I don’t think there’s an option to connect with Google home/Amazon’s Echo/any other smart devices {4/5}
3. Overall : So far, I’m happy with the water heater and it serves my purpose. For a family of 4, this product would be really handy! {4/5}

It’s amazing. I was a little skeptical of buying this due to some of the negative comments about installation and the WiFi connectivity. I have been using it for 2 months now and have no issues with it. It was installed within 2 days of delivery and the wifi works perfect. I was able to control the geyser through my phone from a distance of over 5 kms. The wifi setup instructions is provided and it’s enf to be able to do the setup yourselves as the installation representative will not assist with the wifi setup. But I had no issues with doing the wifi setup myself, following the instructions. I tried using Jio wifi and a broadband connection (basic plan speed) and the geyser WiFi worked perfectly without any issues. You don’t need to have a high end internet plan. The basic plan was sufficient for me. However, the router has to be close to the geyser. I had my router in the ground floor and the geyser in the second floor. The geyser wasn’t able to connect to the router. So I moved the router to the first floor and the geyser then got connected. To be able to control the geyser through the phone, the main switch (the plug board) always needs to be on..if you switch of the plug then u will not be able to control the geyser through the phone. Is it okay to have the main switch on all the time..will it impact the life of the product-that I don’t know. the power consumption is nil when the main switch is on but the power button in the geyser panel switched off/remotely switched off or on auto shutoff. I bought this in Bangalore, so maybe the city has some impact in terms of the speed of installation or may also depend on the supplier. But it’s definitely worth buying. I’m really happy with it.
