I was looking for a good Dolby Atmos Soundbar and I was confused between JBL Bar 9.1 and this one and after seeing lot of reviews in Youtube I had decided for this one and I brought it for 50k in sale and Trust me it’s simply awesome. I had connected my LG OLED TV through eARC and watching Dolby Atmos Movies via this Soundbar is next level. The movie watching experience with this soundbar is not less than a Theater.
Rama sharma –
The product gives you a theatre feel at home. If you have a 65 to 85 inch screen to go with it, then it is amazing. Got it for about 65K during sale.

Really value for money with this 3.1.2 channel. But only issue is with Alexa & Google Assistant —- tired to connect in many ways, Alexa is giving options & Samsung also taking it to some other apps… totally installed 3 Apps which are being asked. Still not able to connect Alexa & Google Asst…. in this Sound bar.
Expect these overall sound experience is excellent.
Can anyone or Expert let know, how to connect the Alexa & Google asst — in this sound bar

The unit comes with 4 power chords, and one HDMI cable. There’s also a wall mount bracket for soundbar. You will need to power line to Front soundbar, Sub, & two rear speakers. The main soundbar itself is a bit heavy and wide. (apt TV sizes would be 43” or higher). For rear speakers you will need to buy stand and screws (I’ve brought TECHLY wall mount).
Speaker don’t need be paired, they connect right out of the box when powered on. There’s an option to pair it manually. Link status LED is present on Sub & rear speakers. A proper rear and front speaker placement facilitates immersive audio.
I’ve connected this soundbar with HiSense U6G TV over HDMI/ARC interface, which means I’m limited to lossy multichannel audio codecs like E-AC3/AC3/DTS or PCM 2.0. To get loseless audios like TrueHD, DTS-MA you will need either eARC or HDMI-In.
Sound clarity
Base is really good and deep. A 7-band graphic EQ is available with some standard preset and an option for storing two custom preset (Custom + current preset). You can also switch to simple Bass/Treble EQ too. A separate dedicated button on remote control allow us to directly adjust sub volume.
Center channel volume is good, there’s clarity in dialogue and it can even boosted further by using Voice-Enhance option.
The SpaceFit Audio (some sort of automatic room correction technique) is limited to Subwoofer only.
Multichannel/Immersive Audio
I was skeptical about immersive audio experience because I’m a fan of discrete home theater/receiver systems, but the systems up-firing speaker did performed well when placed properly, also has good channel separation.
Pressing the Sound-Mode button on remote brings up different audio mode, my preferred Sound mode is ‘Standard’, because all other mode seems to up-mix sound to 9.1.4 channel configuration. Please note there’s no 9.1.4 channel configuration in standard mode, supported mode is only up to 7.1.4.
HDMI Pass-thru
There’s only one HDMI in and Out. The HDMI Pass-thru option supports HDR10+, Dolby Vision etc. but with a caveat. Signal in has to be ≤ 60Hz and there are some limitations in color-space for 12bit/10bit signals. I suppose this has to do with HDMI bandwidth limitation. Most likely you won’t encounter this restrictions. (You’re safe now, but PC with a graphics card or the XBOX/PS5 user please check the user manual for detailed info).
Optical In
Supports standard lossy AC3/DTS and PCM 2 channel stream. I’ve tested this using my old PS2. One thing I noticed is that the soundbar switches back to eARC/ARC channel if HDMI-CEC is connected.
AirPlay options works fine.
I recommend using the Samsung’s SmartThing App, with which you can control the soundbar settings more effectively. The scrolling display on front is good for information but when playing with settings it’s tough.
The USB port present here is limited for service/software update only. Firmware update is also possible over Wi-Fi (2.4G only). In my case it did took some time to complete over Wi-Fi (Close to 700Mb), recommend firmware upgradation over USB.
Things I’vent tried
BT Playback, eARC, Q-Symphony (Samsung TV), Spotify, Tap-Connect, Lossy Dolby Atmos over Wi-Fi (Samsung TV).
Cons.
The rear side speakers are fired from the sides of front sound stage and it dosen’t properly create the rear side L+R speaker effect. (Perhaps my side walls are very far, so no proper reflection!)
Only 1x HDMI in
No support for LDAC or aptX over BT
Passthru for 4k/120Hz
Update September 2023
I’ve linked Alexa with this soundbar and it work flawlessly. Prerequisites are, you will need to configure Samsung SmartThings App & Alexa. Link Alexa thru SmarThing App “Alexa Setting”.
Music playback from Amazon music (Prime) via Alexa is instantaneous no hiccup or delays. The device will show source as WiFi during playback (same in the case of Airplay).
Soundbar has dedicated button to turn off the Mic.

Must have sound bar if you want theatre like experience.
Harish PL –
Awesome sound signature and bass. Q symphony works seamlessly. Bluetooth connectivity is very good.
Guru prasad –
Sound bar is pretty good for Dolby Atmos supported content.
Only challenge what I had noticed is that these guys are not providing the rear mounts and officially also samsung is not selling those mounts outside.
You need to search which mount will fit exactly to your need and this is taking lot of time.
Samsung should have provided the requires rear mounts.
