Update the firmware to the latest version before using the SSD. There were cases of these drives failing and Samsung fixed it. I did use Samsung Magician and updated the firmware to the latest as of now. Check the image attached with the review.
This thing surpasses most of the SSD drives in this speed bracket, in my opinion totally worth it for the price I paid.
Using it for my PS5, with a heatsink. During tests, it was giving 6557MB/s read speed in my PS5. Game loading times are so tiny I do not even notice it anymore. If you plan to use this drive, make sure you are getting a good heatsink for it because it runs HOT.

For those who dont know, Samsung SSD (980 and 990) require immediate firmware update before use, due to a fault causing loss of drive health and performance.
Simple to update, just go to Samsung website and download the software.
For my PC build so far, I’m impressed with the performance. Luckily i heard about the firmware thing, otherwise I could have ruined or bricked it. Although newer batches should be ok, you never know for sure which batch you got from Amazon, so be sure to update firmware prior to use
