I bought this for a decent price (on sale) and it’s a great quick backup drive for my photography. It’s okay to work off the drive in Lightroom but it’s a bit slow compared to having the files on my Macbook. The USB C to C cable is disappointing as there’s quite a fair bit of play on the SSD side and my computer loses connection very easily with the default cable. I don’t have this issue with my other SanDisk SSD cable.

The media could not be loaded.
Decent product, decent speed but it got warm while transferring.
Amazon Customer –
Ok Product, not that much speed

It’s the size of a buscuit carrying 2TB(1.81TB usable). Great design feels light on hand and pocket. No one can tell this super amazing little device can do a whole lot better than it’s competitors.

Speed is not as what they have claimed, its too costly to be purchased.
But anyways, option of No cost EMI makes it easier to get,
If yoy need it and tight on budget, nocost emi can make you own it.
I recomend it, Since HDD time has gone.

On of the latest external SSDs with USB 3.2 gen2.
The best part is it is water and dust resistant plus the grip is silicone like so it is not easy to slip and drop from hands.
Nishant –
Fast transfer speed

The package condition was ok, but not satisfactory.
The ssd is just the size of a finger.
Usb c to c and c to a cables in the box.
The default filesystem format was exfat and i kept it that way as exfat is good for external disks with large sized files.
Usable size is 3.63TB.
Connected via usb c to c in mac and i got 520~ 580MB/s
Transferring files from my old external hdd usb bay to T7 shield shows 120~ 130MB/s.
Not sure about reliability yet. So a clone copy in local hdd is always good.

Purchased this on 27th Apr ’23 and on plugging it to my Windows computer was initially surprised, however after spending 2 days with it have some new learnings to share with you all readers and probable purchasers.
Who is this review for –> Those who have been writing 40 MBPS transfer speeds and returning product
Test Bed –> Used CrystalDisk Mark to test speeds
1. Real World transfer from SSD HDD of Computer (movie size 70 GB blue ray single movie) using USB 3 port and Usb C on T7 –> Fixed speed of 40 mbps. I agree pathetic and nothing to write home about.
But why to use USB 3 when I have a USB-C port as well on computer
2. Using USB-C port on computer and USB-C port on T7 shield –> Transfer speed of 130 MBPS for same movie
3. Now Using pure benchmark tests
a. Installing Crystal Disk on Computer C Drive and running test on F Drive (t-shield) –> 450 MBPS
b. Installing Crystal Disk directly on F Drive (T-shield) –> 1024 MBPS
4. Real World Usage –> Put a 80 GB Hobbit Movie on TP Link USB Port 3.0 and ran movie via KODI app installed on Sony TV (via fire stick). Could run the movie smooth when the distance between router and TV was not much.
This is the primary reason I bought this T7 for. When I was trying to run via normal Western Digital 5TB drives, the 80 GB remux were stuttering.
By the way the T7 shield did not connect direct to TV via USB cable.
5. I also have a Samsung s23 ultra. Now Copying 50 GB from phone to T7 and vice versa is Super Fast. You have to go to Phones ‘My Files’ and copy paste from there itself. you will see DCIM folder there.
Conclusion — I would be happier if usb 3.0 had given me 100 + speeds. I would be happier if USB C gave me 300 + speeds on file transfer. However I am still happy that product is what it is, and won’t be returning it which was my initial fear. I have seen Online reviews, and this is how this particular SSD performs.
Bottom line is this T7 Shield is good if Use Case is Transfer between SSD drives. Did I mention speed of 350 MBPS when transfer between SSD of Computer and this Shield. Yeah!
So my next project is to replace 2TB HDD on computer with an SSD to fit my use cases. Hope this long review helps people. Don’t buy to return later. This is how the T7 is supposed to function.
