Srikanth Jatla –
After a thorough and lengthy research of around four months on mid range and high end earbuds including Noise, Jabra, Sony and Bose, after purchasing, trying and selling all the above (except Bose SoundSport Free as I gifted them to my wife) I settled with Sennheiser CX 400BT.
Before trying the CX 400BT, I was a big fan of Bose sound signature and couldn’t afford Bose QuiteComfort earbuds as they cost around 27k. I waited for a long time to buy them on a discount due to the excellent and highly rated ANC feature, but to no avail. I loved the sound on Bose SoundSport Free, but when I used them while travelling, the quality faded due to lack of noise cancellation. But the buds are very comfortable and when you listen to them in the absence of noise, I felt they were awesome, that is until I tried Sennheisers.
I have read very positive reviews about Sennheisers everywhere and Momentum 2 were the highest rated among ANC earbuds but are also above 20k. I was ready to spend around 12k and so picked CX400BT even though I doubted their performance. It has been nearly one month since I started using them and believe me, the clarity and quality of sound on these is just awesome and no match with the Bose earbuds which are high on bass and slightly muffled compared to these if you listen side by side. No need of ANC if you have these buds, as their passive noise cancellation is almost equal to ANC and leak no noise during travel.
The battery back up is awesome (getting around 20 hours after full charge) and the buds are comfortable in the ear and do not look very big in the ears as claimed by some reviewers. Call quality and connectivity are good. Passive noise cancellation is excellent.
The app supports equaliser, but the neutral profile is the best. Treble may be a little on the higher side for those who like more bass, which may be adjusted by one notch for the best sound quality which is my favourite. I am a bass lover, and these do perform to my liking completely even though you feel them to have less bass compared to other buds such as Bose or Jabra. Jabra elite active 75t were also equally good but the sound signature is not match to Sennheiser. After getting habituated to Sennheiser, I feel that the Bose earbuds do not sound as good. Listen to Sennheisers to believe it.
Only one negative with CX 400BT is their case, which is plasticky and of poor quality. The case gets scratched easily and feels very delicate in hand. I would have felt more happier if the case is of better quality especially as these cost around 12k.
However, I gave these buds five stars and recommend these to anyone who’s looking for best quality of sound at this price range. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.
Sennheiser CX400BT are the best buds in any price range!! Look no further if you can afford them!

I was both disappointed and elated when I heard the cx400 because I am a real fan and advocate of how far budget audio has come especially in the area of tws Bluetooth earbuds. As it turns out not yet quite far enough.
From the moment I put these in my lugholes I knew these were something special. No driver break in required. No tip change even though the mediums they came fitted with looked a little on the small side. Instant audio cocaine. Blown away listening to a starter of Orbital and stayed for the main, pudding and cigars..even though I had already had lunch when they arrived at my locker.
Elbow’s Guy Garvey and Shakka Ghetts (Spotify on shuffle) were singing to me in the bedroom I had escaped to so as to audition these latest additions to my musical stable.
Before I knew it Theodore Shapiro’s Ecstasy had me in a flood of tears..are these IP rated? (turns out not so perhaps not for use out on the bicycle in the rain)
I have recorded the sound of these on my Amazon profile and comparisons to some audio TWS bargains that get very close for a fraction of the price of these but are not quite there – yet.
No sibilance but all the energy in the Radiohead Creep line ‘so … special’ – and these earbuds are.
I might just need to keep these on/in forever..maybe I’ll stop listening should my mere physical frame compel me to get up to sustain it but if I don’t certainly my soul would not have starved with these beauties in.
Samsung Adapt Sound (Samsung’s proprietary equaliser that measures your hearing of the frequency spectrum so any shortcomings due to either the listener or earphone native response can be equalised out) shows frequency response at good level across the frequency spectrum with mild emphasis on the lower mids and treble, a kind of double hat rather than typical V or U or W shaped tone curve.
Vocals have a natural fullness and richness and intimate ‘voice in your ear’ presentation and while those who prefer a more analytical sound with voices brought to the fore and isolated from bass sounds may favour a less balanced sound signature for me these are breath taking.
Downsides – they are on the chunky side (though light at 6g each) and there is no IP rating limiting their use in the rain or gym. To tell when they need charging one needs to remember to press a button on the back of the case and decode the meaning of the coloured light rather than this being immediately visible on the front after replacing the buds in their case which is something much cheaper earbuds manage to do. They cant do all of the pure visceral bass of Hans Zimmer’s Why so serious but these little (ok maybe not so little) bullets deliver some tardis like magic and as good a representation as I have heard in the TWS form factor.
I had various issues the biggest being noticeable lag watching YouTube. I also had the touch controls working initially but then not being responded to correctly however both were resolved after resetting the earbuds, and doing a software update via the app – took 40 mins! during which time they need to be kept out of their case (though continued listening to them).
Mentioning these practical considerations just seems churlish though. Amazon needs a 6th star for these.
It’s a bit of a cliche but I continued to listen to music I know well as if for the first time..and wrote this review while doing so to justify my time going over old ground made fresh!
Suddenly every other TWS I own just makes sounds – these make music. Credit to Sennheiser for making a more accessible version of their Momentum 2 TWS available and I hope such wonderful sound in time becomes accessible at an even more affordable price point.

To early for me to write review as I received them couple of hours back still I would like to share my initial observations:
1. Design and look: cool looks and fits easily in my ear. 4 🌟
2. Got paired easily with my one plus, no hassle so again 4🌟
3. sound quality (volume is ok but bass and other music factors are great) 4 🌟
4. Call quality 3 🌟, even a slight movement leads disconnection with device. However, sound is clear indoor , haven’t tested calls outside.
5. Price : I believe with 7k these are best.. 4⭐

I have two very bulky Sennheiser RS195 Personal Hearing Wireless Headphones, purchased several years ago, which are brilliant for me, being hearing impaired. Have had them several years. I don’t know how Sennheiser have achieved it, but music and sound are excellent without using the built in program for hearing impaired. I use it for TV and hi-fi. I wanted something more comfortable to wear about the house.
When I purchased these earbuds, based on the reviews and the claims made by Sennheiser, I thought the sound quality would be the same. How wrong can you be? here is a list of gripes:
1. The app connected with the firmware update, but would not download.
2. Bluetooth pairing with PC and TV was was bind. Took ages.
3. When paired with TV, volume was very low on maximum.
4. When paired with PC, volume was poor and the reception atrocious.
How could such an esteemed company have produced 2 such disparate hearing devices, the first good old wi-fi,
the second incorporating all the latest technology. Did some one forget about the sound?
Have reluctantly returned these earbuds

I bought these earphones as an investment. I have never spent this much money before, but Sennheiser was a brand I trusted and I was not disappointed.
The build quality of the earphones and the case is reassuringly solid. Nothing flimsy or fragile about it, which is nice. Charging indicator showing red orange and green is nicely informative, and you can press a button on the case to see your charge level otherwise so you’re not caught out.
Earphones fit comfortably in my ears. 4 choices of size gives a good range, but I go for the largest. They seal well and stay in place without the need for constant adjustment. They don’t feel too heavy or jiggle too much.
The app is decent and easy to use. When setting the audio, a little more guidance would be helpful for people without much knowledge of audio, but there are only 3 settings to adjust so it’s not massively hard (I went for a bit up on the bass and treble, bit down on the mid and was happy). You’ll have to do a firmware upgrade straight out of the box so I’d recommend getting that out of the way before you plan to use them for peace of mind, but they do work immediately if you’d rather do it later.
At first I was a little bit disappointed with the audio, but then realised it was a stupid volume normalisation setting on my streaming app that was ruining it. Once I turned that off, the sound was impeccable. Hugely rich, great clarity. I hear things in songs I have listened to for years that I have never noticed before. Even at loud volumes listening to metal music, they can cope with a lot going on without becoming distorted.
Battery life is good. There is better on the market, but it’s still long enough to get a good amount of use from without running flat. You’ll only run afoul of it if you have epic listening sessions and/or keep forgetting to charge things.
Passive noise cancelling is fairly standard for this type of earphone, but it works well enough. Once the music is playing I can’t hear anything when I am out and about, and compared to things like airpods, it’s great.
I cannot recommend them enough. They are not cheap, but really good value for money for what they offer.

I got this pair after after my go to earphones (Jay’s t-Four) stopped selling the updated models. Before settling for these, I tried Sony WF-XB700 Extra Bass True Wireless and Audio-Technica ATH- CLR100BT BK Wireless IPX2 but I was not happy with them. Here’s my review after listening to Sennheiser CX 400BT for 2 months now:
Pros:
1. Crystal clear sound, perfect balance across the range.
2. Good Bass, not overpowering like Sony’s. The bass-head in me definitely satisfied.
3. Comfortable to wear even for the big ears.
4. App to customize sound, works better than the phone’s inbuilt equalizers.
5. Good battery life
Cons:
1. The max volume level is around 10-15dB less for my liking. I like my music to be really loud at times.
2. Not dust/sweat-proof.
3. Would have loved if the overall sound was notch deeper. (Jay’s t-fours were perfect)
4. Not worth 7.5k, good buy for ~4k.
With all the short comings, these were the good sounding earphones under 10k for the people who like listening to crisp vocals and instruments.

Edit: Reduced 1 star for horrible app connectivity.
I have always been a Sony guy, having used many Sony wired and wireless head/earphones for years, very recently the WF-1000XM3. I was not all that satisfied with the sound quality.
The volume levels were low even at full, bass was persistent, cheap and jarring to say the least.
What I hated about it the most was its varying sound output at high volume notches to accommodate bass and compromising on vocals, very few reviews have covered it on Youtube(Big Phil)
What works for Sennheiser as follows,
– Sound, Sound, Sound….I can go all day raving about it.
The bass is crisp, sudden and deep with a wider sound stage.
The vocals are crisp.
I for one believe, the sole purpose of a head/earphone is to perform exceeding well in the audio department which the Sennheiser breezes through.
Who cares about ANC, smart features and IPX rating if it works against its purpose.
Like GYM CADDY on Youtube says, this can as well be a replacement for an overear headphone, may be a little ambitious considering just 7mm driver size, but aligns largely.

It’s (let me spell it correct which fail to most of the times) Sennheiser. I have many wired earphones, Bluetooth earphones, and now these buds.. these are very good at sound.
I am an audiophile so can differentiate in two earphones (not that) easily.
I did not experience any Noise Cancellation as such while wearing them on. Now, while giving review, it prompted for ‘Noise Cancellation ‘ asking for star rating amongst five.
Some reviews said that on firmware update they do cancel the noise though passive, but I did, sorry to mention again, experience no cancellation as such.
In fact, sometimes, it amplifies the surrounding noise which forced me to hunt for another earbuds.
Good design, good fit, good sound but no noise cancellation.
Go for it if noise cancellation isn’t your optimum preference 🙏🏻

It’s been just under a year since and bought it and it’s just stopped pairing to devices, I cannot get the pairing setting to activate and it disconnects from the device as soon as I try to play music if it happens to connect to one.

Left ear piece not working. Product is in warranty period. What to do for getting it repaired?
