Bought the earbuds today from Amazon. The left earbud doesn’t charge at all. Not showing any lights. Right one is good. Tried everything. Really bad experience.

I was using anker soundcore wireless buds before this and lost them. Loved them but wanted to try something new. I have many sennheiser headphones and old cx wired buds, so i figured the cx wireless would be a reliable choice. I opted for the regular cx versus the plus and the momentum because ANC does not matter to me.
I’m beyond happy with going with the CX wireless buds. Exactly the quality sound and build I was expecting from sennheiser. I’ve listened for about a week to a variety of my favorite genres and these buds are so great all around!
There is also a sennheiser app that gives a bass boost and podcast mode. I don’t use these and find the bass boost mode to be too much. But the app has a 3 band eq. With a little treble boost I found my sweet spot. Can’t recommend these enough, especially at the price point and if noise cancellation is not a factor for you.

I have a pair of CX’s that are about 1.5 years old, and another set that I just recently purchased. In the middle, I have a pair of Momentum TW 3’s that are ~6 months old. The TLDR here is that instead of repurchasing the Momentum, I got another pair of the CX’s.
I’m not an audiophile, and I mostly listen to audiobooks and make calls with earbuds, so I’m not going to be speaking to audio quality at all. For me, it’s fine.
My six month old Momentum’s have a dead left earbud. Possibly this is anecdotal, but if anything I was more gentle with the Momentum’s than the CX’s, and the CX’s have lasted three times as long. Yes, I drop them. Yes, the dead left Momentum died after the most recent drop. I’m not saying that earbuds should survive infinite drops, but in my experience, the CX’s are more durable.
I did really really like the ANC on the Momentum’s. It killed the battery life, but when you need ANC, it was great to have. The pass-through audio was also awesome. It was almost like having a mini-hearing-aide.
The CX’s have been substantially less finicky than the Momentum. They connect quicker, I’ve had to reset them fewer times, and they seem to have better range.
Between the (substantial) difference in price and the areas where the CX’s are superior, I my opinion, the CX’s are the better option. If dropping $150 every six months on earbuds is within your budget, I fully endorse the Momentums. For me, I need to have two working sets around at any given time as I wear them a substantial amount of my waking hours, so I’d rather swap to an overear model when I need ANC and go with the cheaper and more durable option.
Quick recommendation — splurge on the foam eartips. If you’re like me and wear earbuds an unhealthy amount of time, they’re substantially more comfortable. They do wear out, and they’re not cheap, but the added comfort for long-wears is huge.

Sounds fine. The plastic eartip is a bit odd in ear.

Ordered on Wed evening and received on Fri afternoon. Sennheiser’s quality has never fail to amaze. One of the bang for buck product out there.
