Pros:
– Noise cancelling microphone, other side listeners won’t get any background noise, which makes this headphone ideal for meeting/work purposes.
– Other products with noise cancellation feature are too high in price range
– Good build quality
– Mute button in headphone works in sync with MS Teams mute feature, you can directly mute/unmute yourself from the headphone itself
Cons –
– Volume sometimes feels on the lower side but as mentioned above, levels are quite good for meeting and call related purposes
– Only decent sound quality for music/movie purposes, better to use another one if your looking for these purposes

I’ve only tested this headset out for a little bit for now, so consider this early impressions. Nonetheless, there’s enough to share that could be useful for potential buyers.
The sound quality is very good! I haven’t used this in an actual video call, just recorded and played back samples using Voice Recorder built into Windows 10, and the results were good.
Worked flawlessly on my laptop’s USB-A port: just plugged it in and 5-7 seconds later got the popup message,”Sennheiser PC 8.2 is ready to use” (or words to that effect).
Tried using this with my OnePlus 7T Android smartphone as well. Since the 7T has a USB-C port, I used the
AmazonBasics USB-A to USB-C (OTG) adapter
, and the headset worked without any problem.
The only two minor issues I’ve noticed so far are:
1. The volume level of the speaker part of the headset is not high enough. I’d like them to be a little more sensitive and produce more volume. Since this headset directly connects to a USB port, power supply isn’t the problem.
2. The background noise rejection of the boom mic is good, but not as good as that of a proper dynamic mic.
OTHER DATA
The highest quality setting of this USB headset is 16-bit, 48KHz (see attached photo).
Set the level of this headet’s mic to 0.0dB (Sound Settings > Sound Control Panel > Recording tab > double-click on Sennheiser PC 8.2 USB). See the attached photo. It had been set to -6.0dB when I first opened up the settings (see photo).

The build quality of headphones feels premium and justifies the Sennheiser tag.
I purchased these for my office calls as I needed a headphones with noise cancelling microphone.
The sound output of headphones is relatively low and need to maintain 100% volume to hear during the calls.
The microphone works flawlessly and filters out any background noise. The voice quality also improved significantly with more bass in your voice .
The worst part is the USB connectivity. The USB connector has some design flaws due to which the headphones keep disconnecting with the laptop and gives error ‘ USB device not supported’.
Please be careful when buying, might need external USB connector to work.

This is good, noise cancelling and sound is also good, issue with built quality, need to handle very care fully, and yes as before mention it is having issue with usb connector, it’s very lose

Good quality.
Justified the purpose of Noice cancelation.
Highly recommend to those who have their client calls on daily bases (in corporate or professional culture) and want to hear the proper good sond quality.

We purchased two of these, along with Audio Technica. This one has good bass, however, the Audio-Technica ones score way better in terms of sound quality and microphone output. I would still recommend this to people who require supreme ear comfort as the cushion is very soft. Also we have used Sennheiser PC-8 for almost 7 years, we have around 10-12 of those which are still working. So hoping that longevity might be good too with this version.

I’ve loved my Sennheiser earphones and have used the PC 8 headsets for years. when my most recent set was destroyed (USB connector ripped off) I bought these PC 8.2 Not sure why Sennheiser is rebranding as EPOS. But the quality of these are definitely poorer.
1- the sound. I’ve had to ramp up the PC sound settings to 100% to get close to the same volume as I had with 60%. The sound itself is kind of muffled. Not at all sharp or clear as the older type set was.
2 – Comfort. The headband is non-adjustable plastic, and tight, for a one-size-fits-all, it is tight, and stretches to fit the head. This makes it something I’m always aware I’m wearing. The mic is kind of poorly designed, and basically ends up stuck to the corner of my mouth. Heavy enough plastic that position can’t really be adjusted. When “out of the way” is sits between the headband and the head, instead of outside the headband, and so is hard to get hold of, and potentially uncomfortable and may catch in your hair. I’m also not liking the earpieces, fairly flat ovals, instead of the rounder, deeper older form.
So, overall, if you can get an old PC 8, do. If you can’t, think about getting something different. The PC 8.2 is not a good substitute.

The product is good, voice quality is good, but while connecting to laptop the USB port is loose & hence causes the connection to break.
