Sony ZV-1F Vlog Camera for Content Creators and Vloggers White

This is a great camera if you are just getting started or if you want something quick and on-the-go. HOWEVER, I would never recommend this to someone who wants to shoot professional looking videos. I have struggled with this camera a lot. The autofocus is horrendous and it’s super disappointing to record a whole video thinking I’m in focus only to find in the playback that I wasted my time. There is something about the autofocus that makes light around the subject fluctuate in brightness, one second it will be super bright and the next super dark and causes the videos to look terrible. I will be in focus, push record and do my thing then go back and look at the footage and the camera has been focused on the background and not me, wasting my time. I have played with all settings but the settings are very limited. Like with most budget cameras, the day I got it I was amazed and as time went on its like it lost its quality, I’m never sure why that is but it is especially true with this camera. I have played with all lighting and settings and the autofocus just fluctuates way too much — I would do manual focus but I don’t trust it to keep me in focus, and getting a camera for autofocus style vlogging, I expected it to work properly. The goal in creating this camera was definitely on the selfie, walking style vlogging because trying to shoot anything else with it is very challenging especially with the fixed lens. I would pay half the price that I did for it easily. Not worth the $500.

Very pleased with the build quality. Robust. Logical button and UI layout. The image quality, both still and moving, is superb. Feels great in your hands. Works very well. Recommended.

If you are looking for something to use for vlogging or just for quick photos and videos without using your phone, this is the one for you!

This camera is great for beginner vloggers and for use as a family camcorder to avoid using phone storage. I purchased this camera to take nice photos and start vlogging; however, I was not impressed with the photo quality. The auto focus is great, but the picture quality and video quality are not exactly pristine. I would say a step above an iPhone camera at best. I did not use this camera for several hours at a time, so I cannot speak on continued-use battery; however, the battery does die while not in use. Each day I picked up the camera to use it, I found the battery had died overnight. You will need backup batteries or to use it while plugged in. I would also suggest some sort of grip or L-bracket if you are not using a tripod to hold the camera because it’s pocket-sized and can feel small enough to slip out of your hands.
