Good. Strong flame. Easy to clean

We received the Sunflame Stainless Gas Stove today and the product turned out to be as expected. The gas stove is quite big and comes with 4 burners. The knobs are easy to use and seem to be durable. There is a burner position indicator at the side of each knob. The knob has to be turned left to ignite the burner and further left to get to the minimum flame. The flame at each burner is strong enough. The burners are made of bronze. The finishing of the product is quite good. We had a glass top gas stove with 3 burners before but we decided to go for a stainless steel one now because we find it much easier to use and clean. The 4 burners should reduce the cooking time significantly. We have started using the gas stove and it is working pretty well. One should definitely read the User Manual before starting to use the product and should ideally call an authorized dealer or technician to install the oven and test it once. That is what we did. Because we are talking about gas ovens here and one always has to be careful with these products. All in all this is a good product and we are satisfied with our purchase. The product seems to be durable, is easy to use and definitely is a value for money. It is an ideal gas stove for an Indian Kitchen.

I had used an older model of Sunflame for many years without any problem, so I had trusted the brand for reliability. This new unit was bought in end October 2022, but we were away from home after November. When we returned after five months, the maids complained about the gas cylinders getting over fast. We noticed there was a smell of gas in the kitchen early in the morning, so we disconnected the unit and called Sunflame, who sent a representative promptly who changed two valves. A few days later something was left to boil on one of the burners but a little later it was found that the knob of another burner was aflame! Again a representative came quickly, serviced the full unit, replaced the burnt knob and tested all the burners. Now another gas leak was noticed and then another knob caught fire, when someone was there to observe it and shut it down. A complaint has been lodged with Sunflame Customer Care but I am reluctant to use this unit now, even if they repair it, because it’s clearly a safety hazard and the right thing would be for Sunflame to replace the unit.
